That's harsh. If sociology didn't exist as a discipline then you'd have to create it as the subject exists whether it has a name or not. However, post modernism in the humanities is mostly total crap. https://richarddawkins.com/articles/article/postmodernism-disrobed
Cos the modernist concept of early 20th C missed tonnes of stuff, was way too structural, unsubtle. Totally missed the social revolutions of the later 20th c and onwards. So there was a good reason to find a new way of looking at humanity, sure. But most of what transpired is just sophistry sadly
what is scientific about a massage. you just lay there have some oil rubbed and feel relaxed!! wheres the pseudoscience or the science even in this i truly dont get it
Growth mindset theory resilience & grit. It's just middle class people blaming poor people for their own poverty. Despite being the base for a number of academic careers in psychology, not been reproduced by peers. It's basically abusive crap. So it's my favourite one to go on about bc it appalls me
Homeopathy - it's magic water that defies the laws of physics. Of course, the Hubble tension defies the laws of physics too, at least the ones we know of. One defies physics way more, but I can't tell which one.
There's two sorts of massage: the kind you get because it feels good, and the kind your physical therapist does to you. The second one definitely helps, and you definitely don't do it for the fun of it.
so i don’t actually know how this works in mbti since i learned socionics but i think they’re supposed to be isomorphic to each other. in socionics there’s 8 functions (like slots: primary, creative, vulnerable, suggestive, etc) and then E/I flavors of N/S/F/T slot into them according to the bits
mbti is just a 4 letter personality test made for employers. it has no value and it's so shallow riddled with inaccurate information. unfortunately it's more popular and people keep using it wrong
Socionics and MBTI are actually very different -- the IMEs in socionics have very different semantics from the functions in MBTI, despite the similar names. Original MBTI does not even have eight functions.
Research that led to the 'Big 5' personality dimensions (OCEAN) found that people don't cluster into personality 'types'. So all typographies, like the MBTI, are wrong.
Having said that, my favourite wrong typography is the Enneagram. Despite knowing it is wrong, I find it useful, unlike the MBTI.

Mantras, chakras, making yourself levitate or reaching enlightenment—all woo nonsense.
But it's still very nice to take 30 minutes out of your day to calm the mind.
It's also been very helpful for getting to sleep. I can put on any of these meditations, and I'm asleep in no time!
If nothing else. It’s relaxing.
if that's what you mean
And *every* decent astrologer knows those newspaper daily horoscopes are bullshit. They just do it to pay the bills because it's popular.
also whatever the fuck scattered minds was on about
massage does have science! just not what anyone expected, but it's good actually:

Mine is
MBTI and Reflexology (I take some class on it) 😬
It’s a solid flavor of woo, imo
they can get to some very interesting conclusions when taking for granted the existence of an all mighty, all knowing being
