Begging folks to stop referring to the pandemic in the past tense.
It’s still “during COVID”. The pandemic isn’t over just because you want it to be.
We have no sterilizing vaccine. No treatment or cure for Long Covid. People are still dying & becoming disabled every day because we refuse to adapt

Medical news is within doubt in this chaotic administration. Be wise. 😷
(Yes I'm probably always going to be angry that we *briefly* started to take steps towards improving things only to begin rolling them back after like, a year and a half.)
In future, if I see this kind of trend I'll be screaming about it.
Zero side effects
NO HOPER in charge of health care.
Experts predict COVID is here for sometime to come.
God have mercy on America because the tRUMP regime of incompetent, self-serving administrators are only concerned about their own well-being and their own back pocket.
I had two relatives die of a crazy incurable "pneumonia"
Canceled every thing planned what year right after getting back home from my home town.
Put things in order. Now I leave my yard maybe once every 3 months.
I always say "early COVID." Meaning the first two years. Sometimes I'll add "before guidance was changed by an airline CEO's memo and public health leaders gave up on control."
Please help me understand your concerns. I have been vaxxed so many times. I willingly get a booster every time I can.
I’m thinking that the availability of vax & boosters for those who want it changes it dramatically.
Am I wrong?
Hand on. Here we go again. Thanks to Tyrump we are now so much less prepared
My family of origin does not take it seriously except for one sister who became deathly ill during lock down.
Covid19 will never be over.
It's still listed as a pandemic in the red banner across the landing page for COVID 19 on the WHO website.
https://www.who.int/emergencies/diseases/novel-coronavirus-2019
And if you say it's over, shazam! it's no longer a pandemic, even if the infectious disease is still widespread all over the world and the World Health Organization says it's still a pandemic.
And now, measles!
As for long Covid, there is no real consensus on whether it exists or not.
I'm not downplaying the severity of the pandemic. It was terrible for us all. But we must move on now.
Things are not what they were. I'm currently looking at 91 patients in my ER and 33 in my lobby and none have a positive covid test.
556 bed hospital - 1 positive
But in 9 months in 2020 there were 100 million cases in the US.
I'm not saying it's over. I'm saying circumstances have changed.
Wear a mask! Ideally an N95 or better
Get your boosters
Clean & ventilate the air
Stay home when sick
Donate to local mask blocs, they’re doing incredible work to ensure everyone is protected
Stand in solidarity with disabled people & fight mask bans
Once I've recovered from today's stabbings 😭😭😭 those nurses were not nice to my arms

Idiot, while under lockdown - (parphrsing) "You know it's all a hoax, right?"
Me - Sir, your "hoax" killed my aunt, my uncle, my godfather, and my LITERAL father. This is not up for debate."
Idiot - *scoffs*
Me -
By your defintion, we are in about 150 "pandemics" at every point in time.
Fascists never stop.
Fascists always have to BE stopped.
I know that I can't afford to not come to work. We have no sick leave and our attendance policy heavily penalizes doing so, on top of missing a day's wages.
I medicate and always mask up, but if I stayed home then I wouldn't have a home.
We really do need better healthcare, we don't even need to reinvent the wheel.
Not that everyone needs to be working, but I could work more with better accommodation / remote working. It's what I've been asking since I came back.
