the system preceding race and gender integrated education and DEI was not even facially "meritocratic" - elite higher ed served as finishing schools for rich failsons, half of admissions criteria were invented to keep out Jews. the naked cronyism is the America they wanted to return to "greatness"

And such intelligence can be applied everywhere, especially for a domain increasingly focused on human capital.
They set up a fixed race and then started losing.
Governments create winners & losers by determining who gets a government paycheck
Who gets taxed
Who wins a contract dispute
What law says is a legitimate way to earn a profit
Etc, etc, etc.
Single payer just replaces bank lending with government spending.
And saves having to pay for insurance companies and interest owed to a bank.
So has a deflationary bias

I think the reigning idea was that if you believed hard enough to overcome obstacles, you'd clearly thought it through enough to be worthy.
