Some countries just DON'T FUCKING NEED ANYTHING WE MAKE AND THAT'S FINE
No no no, I think this is the end product of over two decades of American Exceptionalism applied to trade: That everyone is somehow "screwing you" when they just don't need anything from you but you need something of theirs

Even though said chatGPT told them "please don't trust me with US policy Im just a stupid chatbot"
Its going to destroy America and millions of people are going to be unemployed and struggling for food.

Curious to find the source(s) to see what they concluded would be the impact, or the context of the examples.
About as sophisticated an approach to appeasing the Mad King's desire for setting "retributive tariffs" as I would expect from this bunch who, I'm certain, were selected on "merit".
Can we just replace the whole damn admin (incl. Trump) with AI? Couldn't possibly be any worse. JFC.
And to think, they fired all those Feds because they think they can get AI to do their jobs.
We are doomed.
That looks like a good one. Adding that and Office Space to my watchlist now.
Thanks.

The Elon and Trump went with the "biased" AI that conveniently left out info.
Or that regardless of which AI they referenced, they actively ignored warnings.

You have to use the timestamp instead of the actual url for a tweet.

An early version Copilot (called BingChat back then) when asked to write stories about billionaires would more often than not it cast them as villains of the story getting their comeuppance.
The AI tech companies have since realigned their LLMs to never do this.
It could go both ways I suppose
I no longer say this jokingly.

I think I might kms 🙃
This trade deficit thing was just the first method, the one they point to as dumb.
Oh, so both sides😳
OK, chatbot. Suuure.
It assumes the two countries produces exactly the same goods.
The $400M he threatened to withhold from Columbia was equal to the amount of a construction contract they gave to another firm instead of him.

Now I'm wondering, where did they plagerize that from?

A lot of articles just came out talking about trump’s trade deficit plan and calculation. It’s possible that the AI models incorporated those articles already, and will give what they read.

This combination of stupidity and malice is incredible.
