Research is ongoing for ovarian cancer. One continuing promising research study showed 100% effectiveness in mice and dogs. THIS is why we can’t let Trump administration destroy cancer research funding!! We are on the precipice of new cures!
I’m so sorry for your loss, may your mom rest in peace 🙏🏽, I so respect her decision to forgo treatment. Prayers and condolences to you and your family.
My condolences. Your mother was brave, maybe also pragmatic. I hope her last months were full of love and as much life as she could pack in.
Cancer sucks.
I want to highlight yet again that Despite no health care training Danielle Smith claims such diagnosis is mostly the result of poor decisions. My mother did nothing to bring this on
Yet despite this the UofC policy school decided that Danielle smith should be allowed to pontificate on many matters including health care. OMO it should be held accountable for publishing this 🐂 💩https://www.policyschool.ca/wp-content/uploads/2021/06/AF16_AB-Key-Challenges_Smith.pdf
What universities publish matters. What appears as peer reviewed research matters. It matters to me and my family that people like @caulfieldtim.bsky.social does what he does because real science matters to real people and real lives
So sorry for your loss. Losing a loved one while hearing this BS & navigating the system is hard. I lost my dad 3 years ago during COVID & I am still angry about what happened because of the stupid beliefs of a few people who think they're the smartest people in the room. Take care! 🙏❤️
😳😢
I can understand her not wanting to be subjected to treatment.
I bet she was thinking not just of herself but her loved ones being abused by the cost and frustration for a possible poor outcome.
Still hurts though.
Sorry for your loss.
I am sorry or your loss but I’m understand your mom’s decision. I have seen the horrific physical, emotional & financial cost of cancer treatment for older Americans and would never undergo chemo at my age.
Such a Brave woman. My Father died during Covid of cancer. He too chose not to be treated. He lived a long life and decided that he would not suffer any longer, but more important to him he did not let my Mom worry any longer than she had to. Your Mom’s pain worries and suffering are over! Bless Her
Oh Lindsay I am so very sad for your loss but your mother was a brave woman.
I don’t believe I’d have gone thru the treatment either but I’ve fought the BigC before my oldest friend died of it in the first lockdown
Here’s a hug I wish it was a real one 🤗

At the same time, thank you for your strong statements in support of academic research and standards.
