Literally crying hearing how French women applaud Gisele Pelicot every day as she walks out of court. #r4today
Everywhere around the world women watch & applaud her bravery too. She stood up for all of us.
Because the shame has to switch sides.

🚀 ⬆️ establishment arses!
Unfortunately in the US aka Russia’s little wang, people are saying that see was asking for it and was trying to one up all the OF models.
The byproduct of misinformation’
Fuck…
The way she was cross examined aimed to blame her. The reason she could fight back is because the evidence was so shocking but compelling.
Hardly any case comes with such evidence. Hence the belittling and 'reasonable doubt' put on victims.
Works like this can help people comprehend the horror and evil these men did and resolve to not accept and normalise it. #standwithgiselepelicot justice now, deter and prevent in the future.
#planettitanic #humanextinction #societalcollapse #GiselePelicot
To deny she is a victim of a horrendous crime is not doing her any favours, or paying her any compliment. Quite the opposite.
Using the word 'victim' as if it implies something negative about the person victimised is deeply problematic.

Something in my eye here in blighty too.
He's a dangerous and seasoned predator ...
You are right. She is a beacon of light!
She was shamed, gaslit, humiliated & victim blamed again & again & again.
If you believe the law in our supposedly progressive, equal, liberal western democracies protects women as equals, think again. #r4today
I have zero respect for the 💩rag @Time
These "evil bastards" are all "normal men" with jobs, families, children, grandchildren, friends. They are neighbours, colleagues, best friends. There is nothing special about any of them.
History, however, has taught me that evil isn’t uncommon, and the face it wears is usually our own.
- Terry Pratchett, Small Gods
- he was just joking
- you should be flattered
- you know what he’s like
- don’t take it personally
- he’s a bit touchy/feely
(women are not exempt either. They share the blame)
Has anybody capable of thought thought that?
Man defined, still defines rape! He's a sex addict.
Change.
100 men were booked online - 5-minute slots - for "a performance" 100 man in 24 hours with a Sex worker exploited by her family.
Men not tested, unprotected oral sex and not a man who flinches.... 🤢🤮

She refused to change her last name, and asked that the trial be public to send a strong message. ✊

All 50 accused declared guilty, none acquitted
The BBC's website has a 'live feed' list of all the sentences handed down - in English 😀 - helped me understand, given my French is more than a little rusty too.
Then came the sentences (i'll post a breakdown and then translate it as best as i can).
Thus the extensive delay
NO MORE excusing everyday predators.
I love that so many women are supporting her now and I hope all the victims get justice!!
But I have also been wondering, why do we all know her face now and not her husbands? Shouldn't it be his face in the papers, not hers?
She is to be celebrated for her courage. He is to be forgotten as a person; only his disgusting acts should be remembered.
Gisèle Pelicot had no idea her husband of 50 years was drugging her & inviting dozens of men to rape her. As one of the most horrific trials France has ever seen comes to a close, the world is left asking how could this happen?
How can that be an equal of any sort?
😣
courageous and dignified person. She is an inspiration.
Even if they believed the husband that she had consented, it’s still rape. They raped that woman whether they intended to or not.
Worse, they treated her as an object, property of her "husband". It's worse than misogyny. These men are monsters. And not one of them stood up to the monster arranging those assaults, or called the police on him.
If I wanted to have sex with someone while they were unconscious (I don’t) I would make sure they were happy with it first.
The state need to step in and reverse the misogynistic conditioning that is clearly going on from an early age.
We owe these women more than we can measure ❤️❤️❤️
🌿Guts, Strength & Bravery.
Upright.
An example , for anyone fighting for justice.
BUT just to make sure it's not a fake charge, caught in the act, DNA proof or multiple rapes would get this.
Because it IS a death penalty of sorts. Can't glue it back on and say, "Oops"
But just knowing that COULD be the penalty....
Men 😱😱😱😱😱
Through physical bullying, shaming, guilting & blaming.
You don't need a penis to rape. (Though that probably would really suck for most men)
It's such a shocking and inexplicable case that just gets worse the more you look into it.
Il est plus que temps.
I do not see Trump doing a walk of shame.
Gisèle Pelicot is a true heroine. 🙌
It's time for shame to change side. The world over.
