The number one advice any & every writing professional can & will give you is this:
DO NOT BE AFRAID TO SUCK.
You have spent years reading books, watching movies & TV, developing taste to know good from bad. NO ONE GETS TO READ YOUR WRITING UNTIL YOU LET THEM. Trust your taste & write fearlessly.

Everyone who is good at a thing sucked at it once, for a long time. Some spend less time sucking than others, but doing is the only way you get better.
Thanks!
But it is hard to type while you duck
My prose wasn’t bad
But it seems they are mad
So it can be a danger to suck
I would say I'm an impressionist, because it is best viewed from across the room
1. Its going to be decent,
2. You improve with practice and creation and be good at it.
So, if you want to be a writer, you better start writing because only you can provide what you create.
Just you play in the closet! :)

I shall fear no suck!
My first novel barely made any sales, and only received two ratings (one from a troll, one from a friend), but writing it's a marathon, not a race. I also wrote it for me.
Writers, keep writing! It's a learning experience. Accept failure and grow. 🧡 You've got this.
My manuscript for my second is
Slightly less
Art is hard, y’all. 😂
"You know what good looks like, it's gonna be a while before you can make it."

I needed this advice.
Editing is where the magic happens. Put words on paper to get there.
Number two advice I've heard is finding a good writing group around you that you can receive legitimate criticism and advice from! Helps a ton would def recommend
Reread & reread & out loud.
Very useful quote, that.
But it was all necessary to finally find my voice and now I don’t suck as much
But the trick is to know that only by continuing to work will we bridge it.
Consistency, patience the unsexy stuff.
Same goes for dancers!
I wish I knew how to break past that because it always ends up giving me a migraine.
Oh good I’ve got that part down pat…seriously that is helpful. I used to just do things and not worry about sucking. Now…I don’t know if I’m afraid of sucking or just too exhausted to try? Should make the attempt.
