I hope they experienced some solid guilt, too, when having their arm inside their bodies caused the little guys to have facial contortions, spasms and other involuntary bodily movements.
I'm just a gregarious wiseass and @joeselph.bsky.social is an amazing, generous human being, as well as being extremely creative. He made it all possible. ♥️♥️♥️♥️♥️
Dave Goelz (Gonzo) is also extremely generous and kind, and I will love him forever. My friend Dags met him on a set last year (she's a construction set medic), and he was also very giving to her, so he's a genuine Great Guy and a wonderful creative artist. I was blessed to get any of his time.
[Almost related — a puppet that scares people]
I made this Billy Milligan mechanical puppet in the 90s. Every hour he lowers his head between his hands and then raises up a different person.
*Milligan suffered from "split personality" and wrote a book about it, as was the style at the time.
Michael Caine found it awkward acting with puppets for The Muppet Christmas Carol, so - genuinely - the way they got around it was that the puppeteers kept going between takes, having lunch etc so that the Muppets would just carry on chatting with him in character.
This is a wonderful fact! I can only hope he has this written into his contract for every film and the shark continued to hunt him between takes on Jaws: The Revenge.

(Which, uh, actually sounds like a totally new kink)
