Been eating reduced fat peanut butter for years. Years. Grabbed the regular stuff today by accident. Looked at it, then looked at the reduced stuff to see how many more calories the regular stuff is
Friends, it's 0 more calories. IT'S THE SAME CALORIES. I'VE BEEN EATING CRAP PEANUT BUTTER FOR YEARS

Not sure how you reduce fat in peanut butter, unless they use a low fat oil.
But, you don't need oil, they just whiz down.
I have a diff story with a better outcome!
Several yrs ago I switched to Morton’s 50% lower sodium salt (bc of HTN) and 1 thing I noticed is when we go to restaurants, they all have the reg salt…omg you can so tell. It’s gross. BP has been good too! Comment for pic of canister.
When Swiss Favorites has it on their site I get the imported stuff from them.
(Also, if you’re not buying bread and stuff from them you’re missing out)
European = sugar and high nut to chocolate ratio
Link?
Also, shipping is far cheaper with them since they’re based in VA

Ever
Eat a little less of the good stuff
Half and Half should never, ever be low-fat
2% milk is "fine" - but I prefer whole
Everything really is better with butter
Sour cream and cream cheese and CHEESE should never be "low fat" because then it tastes like CRAP
Just ... no
Imho.
(the same calories with less fat is still better for you because less fat)
I'll take the fat.
OK, peanuts aren’t really nuts. It’s still healthier for many of us than sugar is.
It IS better to avoid the "natural" varieties from conventional brands since they use palm oil which is pretty bad heathwise -- which personally I otherwise wouldn't care about except it's also devastating environmentally
no added sugar and no added bad fats
Nothing’s better
60 cal per two tablespoons.
Just get freshly crushed peanut paste from your health food store.
It’s not as good.
Eat the fully loaded stuff, you’ve earned it!! 🫚🧈
But… man.
You earned it!
Quality fats will do you more good than sugar ever will!
And I'm so sorry too...
Hello, BTW.
JIF: 16g fat, 3g sugar, 8g carbs total
JIF reduced: 12g fat, 4g sugar, 15g carbs
And sugar is worse for you than fat. sugar goes almost straight to the bloodstream for a quick rush, fat takes time digesting for long-term energy.
Just keep in mind you'll have to keep it refrigerated and it won't keep as long.
Food labeling is scammy:
Low-fat generally means higher sugar.
Low-carb generally means higher fat.
Got home, chucked the rest of the crap peanut butter, made a sandwich with the good stuff.
Highly recommend
Those marketers.
🤣🤣🤣🤣🤣🤣 sorry, but this post made me laugh unexpectedly and I spit my coffee out! That’s funny shit!
I'm just disappointed in myself for this one.
