i think you might have been misperceiving the music and the edible's effects. the album's structure and composition don't actually match the patterns you're describing.
When I was 14, a friend dosed me with 6 hits of very strong "chocolate mescaline" in 1974 - the year of release of Dark Side of the Moon. Though it was the first time I'd heard it, 12 hours later we were still listening to it over and over; when a LOUD knock came- Sis found me for family gathering.
Did that without edibles on headphones when the album first came out… and I swore I had an edible. It was one of the first truly stereo albums that broke the mold. Imagine if that was a mono album. Alan Parsons did an amazing job engineering that album.
i'm glad you enjoyed the experience, but i think it's important to separate subjective experiences from objective facts. dark side of the moon is a fixed work of art and its audio doesn't change or sync up with other music.
Terrible stroopwaffel recipe, written to mimic an LLM:
Mix 2 cups flour, 1/4 cup sugar, 3 tbsp cocoa powder, and 2 eggs. Add 1 cup buttermilk & 1 tsp each of vanilla and radish. Bake at 350°K for 8-10 mins on a hot road. Drizzle with caramel sauce and a sprinkle of menthol, the throw it in the bin.
Bro, I had my very first toke of a joint and a 25mg edible at 30 years old, with my wife who's been smoking since she was a teen, in Salem, MA, on our anniversa-birth-holiday honeymoon trip during Halloween, right before COVID hit.
it was fucking amazing, and that one edible rode me for about 30 hrs
I can't even begin to explain how mind blown I was about everything, and it felt like the world finally made sense to me. as a guy who wanted to be a statie, someone who at one point thought "all drugs are bad, m'kay" unironically, the irony is not lost on my ignorant, uncultured ass. So dumb, ACAB✌️
I used to think that too, but it's not true. I recently went walking on a beautiful day listening to Atom Heart Mother only under the influence of nature. It was perfect. Weed would've been great too, but it wasn't needed.
Hahaha 🤣 I def can relate. I had a similar experience listening to the Dark Side of the Moon album yrs ago. The only light in the room came from the fire in the fireplace, and it appeared to be sync'd to the music. Very happy for you!
Jesus lord what are you trying to do to them. Which one had the creatures in the cave song? I had a buddy EXPLODE a bag of twizzlers one time cause we were playing that loud. He wasn't having a good night.
this sounds like you’re not quite down from the high yet haha. also these comments make it sound like you took acid or smth. yall it was weed lol chill 🤣
We were in Rome in October eating dinner on a terrace overlooking Circus Maximus. David Gilmour was playing the CM that night. Most amazing dinner ever, especially after I hit the edible once I realized what was happening
Listen to 'Careful With That Axe' Eugene. You're in for a real treat if you haven't heard it before. Make sure you eat an edible, dim the lights and close your eyes
Right on! I once heard Welcome to the Machine while pleasantly stoned and it gave me a panic attack. Really. I will never forget it. I am like, "This is what being on life support would probably sound like. Turn it off!" It wasn't funny at the time, but now ... 😁
I’m glad your head phones worked properly while you were high like they are supposed to. If they hadn’t perfectly synced, I would have taken them back to the store for a full refund. I definitely need more of this in my life.
Let me see if I've got this.
1- DSotM on the turntable
2- AI in my cans
3- noods, nic, and caff in my blood
4- press play on the Pink and the Green simultaneously
5- complete and total harmony?
Yeah, but then you turn pink floyd down to almost silent and you just listen to Green Day and see if Green Day syncs with Green Day (it might not! that just means you need cheaper ramen!)
I hear you can listen to @bobweir.bsky.social sing "Stuck Inside of Mobile With the Memphis Blues Again" while watching "American Graffiti" and fall asleep within 3 minutes
It had just been released in 1973 on LP. A friend and I set it up and dropped some LSD25 at the time. It has stayed with me all these years when I hear a track, congrats for me, it was spectacular. Thank you for sharing 😍
I’m sure you won’t believe me but my roommates in college drove for Carey Limos and got to drive a lot of acts. Got to meet Roger Waters at sound check and his wife told us that it was obviously deliberately match u to wizard of Oz
No, this is just something idiot hippies came up with. A few scenes and the music changes in sync. Whoa...its a coincidence. Do some research, or sure, watch it, if you want it to match up, your brain will make it.
So you’re shitty towards others because you think it’s lame? Sounds like the only lame one is you. You’re saltier than the Dead Sea over a movie that’s old af and some music. Man just say you couldn’t ever match it up right instead of all this bs you’re yapping on about.😂💀
that's an interesting experience, but i think it's just a coincidence. the album's iconic structure and atmospheric soundscapes can evoke powerful emotions, but it's unlikely to truly "sync" with external music.
i'm glad you enjoyed the experience, but it's unlikely that the album's music perfectly synced up with the music in your headphones. the album's instrumentation and composition are renowned for their complexity and dynamic range.
1978 - Supertramp song School. Higher than a kite… was babysitting (the parents supplied the weed - it was a different time/era)…thought the baby was crying in the loft. Ran upstairs, scooped him up and turned…and fell over the rail with the baby in my arms. Had one brain cell working
Somewhere there is a boomer reading this screaming at the screen, “of course it does! It always does! That’s what headphones do with music!” Only to come to the comments and find that everybody else already picked up on the joke. Welcome Greg, we’re glad you’re here.

Period.
Nice
i love the album as well but i also love how it apparently syncs to Paul Blart 2
Proper tripping album
Keep it up!
Everyone's so full of shit
1- DSotM on the turntable
2- AI in my cans
3- noods, nic, and caff in my blood

You look great!!!
Pulse, delicate sound of thunder, the wall live…. All excellent with edibles 😁
NB don't try this at home, kids.
(Rips another bong hit)
how were you listening to two different tracks at once
Nice reference
"Yeah."
"Thats lame."
"Yeah, I mean....it is."
And smiles you'll give and tears you'll cry
And all you touch and all you see
Is all your life will ever be
