Joycons where the thumb grips don’t need to be replaced every few months, upgraded processing power, backwards compatibility and pretty much the same form-factor…that’s all I want. Some of the earlier rumors had me worried we’d end up with another Wii-U, so I’m glad that things are looking practical

I loved my Switch until I discovered the Steam Deck. And now, it seems the price points are almost the same. I get a better play with No Man's Sky and Minecraft on the Steam Deck. It does emulation well. I haven't picked up my Switch in over a year.

You don’t have to do that now anyway, the Nintendo versions have almost always been the worse way to play cross platform games since the jump to HD happened. The only exceptions are if you don’t have the other consoles, which is even harder to justify since the steamdeck dropped

U shouldn’t be surprised by it at this point. Nintendo stopped trying to keep up with Sony & MS performance wise for a while. Don’t expect them to re enter a race they’ve been out of for generations. Let them be this niche, & just be a smarter consumer and buy games for hardware that can handle it

tbf I don't think nintendo will ever put out a console that's good for anything but nintendo games. And that's okay. I only use my ps5 for sony games (or sony-focused games), and that still gets plenty of use.
