Like, dude learned his lesson in TNG and became a better and more accountable person. To take away that arc is terrible and bad, but literally the only mistake the show made.

I've been watching Star Trek since I was a kid in the 70s. I really feel like Lower Decks stands up there with the very best series. All of you should be incredibly proud, and I will miss it so much.
