Yup. I might not even listen to NPR tomorrow because I don’t even want to hear clips of him. Instead, I’ll read the summaries and analysis and spare myself the rage.
Same for me. I can't listen to that guy lie, say horrible things, and massage his overinflated ego. His rhythm, cadence, tone of voice, and 5th grade reading level don't help, either. Plus, his anus-looking mouth makes my skin crawl.
Dom, this whole ‘ i sent to some colleges & now studies them’ is real ! I have been reading so much around the History of the colonized world & its eye opening. Everything pedagogical frameworks seem to have its roots in misinformation ( not Dis ) & frankly wrong history. Its fascinating!
I have discovered that watching any of this makes me too upset to watch. The day after the election, I stopped watching and started only reading the news- once in the am and once in the pm. This allows me think and find constructive ways to to practice my citizenship.
I watched about 15 seconds then just said to myself out loud "I just can't I can't listen to him speak so many lies." And turned it off. Then came here to be with my people. It takes the breath out of me, how terrible he is, and how many horrible things he's doing.
If you read the highlights, I hope u have the opportunity to compare how AP , Reuters, post facts , on their AP site and how other outlets editorialize the information.
Totally! He makes me sick...I can't listen to his self engrandizing crap! Daily I thank god for my TV remote with its "mute" button! Reading about his schitz is actually better for my health!

I’m not in the US right now, and the time difference precludes me from watching. I’ll catch up later. The déplorables, i.e., the GOP will catcall and cheer and bow to dear leader, a thing I cannot and will never watch.
Death to democracy by a thousand cuts would be my guess. Like you, I will read the news tomorrow. All I can do is wish the sane portion of the US population all the best.
First hand viewing is preferable for those who want the absolute truth. What is important is reactions of the audience. Trump will hopefully be embarrassed. He surely deserves it.
I'm thinking about having it on with subtitles and no sound. It'll satisfy my curiosity, but will dispense with the excruciating pain of hearing him talk. On the other hand, I may not make it 5 minutes.
I really can't watch him. I couldn't the first time. It's fine, I'm very up on the news. I just can't watch him. And let's be real, we will know less about the truth of what's happening if we listen to him. He is propaganda and lies and fragile ego and cruelty. That's it.
Same - never listened to the inaugurations or any SOTU and not about to start. I have however, have watched too many taped rally's and news bites for research. Even a gander at CPAC makes me throw up.
