A. You’re allowed to be as petty as you want. B. The only starter pack I have is people I legit enjoy interacting with. Some have a few hundred followers some have tens of thousands, I don’t really care. Some follow me back, some don’t, again I don’t really care.

No, you're right. And I think anyone who tries to make one of these runs into that and quietly realizes it but then shrugs because what can you do. Yeah, their experience is not so organic & free from network bias as they'd like. But point it out too much and they might get mad
