I think elections should be decided by issues and voting records, but it would be silly to deny that most voters are motivated by vibes. It's best to figure that out early and work it hard.

I agree that elections should be policy-based, but at this point only one candidate has any. The other is just nihilism, and so the only counter to that really is vibes.

Ideally you want vibes that reinforce your policy positions, too! Ours this time are "We actually LIKE people, holy shit!" which translates into policies to help people & vibes of joy and determination. ❤️

Most voters only pay a cursory amount of attention to politics, especially outside election time - so vibes and endorsements from celebrities they like etc can make way more difference than they logically ought to.

I think if vibes lead people to action—policy discussions & volunteering in any capacity-phone/text bank, writing postcards to swing states, etc, then I’m okay with vibes. But it needs to be joined with actions to win.
