Sure, the particular kind of sexual misconduct she engaged in typically wouldn't result in disbarment, but it's hardly unheard of for a while male lawyer to face bar discipline for sexual misconduct with a subordinate (and even prospective subordinate), which is still more than she's had happen.

Sexism against women is a very real and prevalent problem, particularly in the legal profession, but "consequences for intimate relationships with a subordinate staff member (or in this case, subordinate contractor)" is a particular situation where it's hard to argue sexism disfavors female managers

She made a personal and professional mistake, outside of the case. Looked bad. But didn’t affect the charges.

Yes, she was paying her boyfriend and stood to benefit by paying him more. This could incentivize her to take actions to unnecessarily prolong the prosecution or increase the amount of work required beyond that of a reasonable prosecutor.

What I hate about this opinion is the total lack of analysis. There's no rule or explanation here that any other criminal defendant could possibly use in their own case. Just the facts and the result.
