Going forward, we should never again use the phrase "going forward" because 1) it's the worst kind of annoying corporate jargon and 2) it’s disrespectful to crabs

Ah yes. I noticed “reach out” creeping in to offices a decade or so ago. Worse, it then began making its way into print journalism. “We reached out for comment”. Argh!
Circling back whilst going forward sounds like verbal country dancing. I think there should be more country dancing terms dosy-doing their way into office jargon. We should gay-gordon that for a while and see if we can't strip the willow with it
If we keep excluding crabs from our language, while also regularly throwing them into pots of boiling water, it's really not going to help their, ahem... shellfish steam issues
When people say "going forward" I want to interrupt with, "oh was there also a time travel backwards option?"
Yet there's nothing wrong with "in future" - because there's no verb of movement in the phrase to suggest that there's more than one possible direction.
Finally - some blue sky thinking. Good on you for running this up the flagpole to see if anyone salutes. I just wish the cadence of interventions like this were faster.

Though I suspect crabs couldn't spare a toss about it.

Sorry, I'll get my coat.
mixed me a laugh with feeling a bit nauseous.
