So far, not one reporter has tried to fine out how much pressure the bosses at ICE putting on their agents and if they. are working under a daily quota system that gives them an incentive to grab up anyone with a strange name.
A conservative would be resistant to change for the sake of change. /r/conservative is a collection of users who advocate for radical change for the sake of change.
Conservatism consists of exactly one proposition, to wit: There must be in-groups whom the law protects but does not bind, alongside out-groups whom the law binds but does not protect.
Yes! Many of these people weren't in custody at the time they were deported to a freaking prison they can never escape from. In a country that is not their own. Can't the US just buy them a ticket to their homeland? This is all intentional. Cruelty is the point with MAGA.
So what do we think about deportees who were listed in the briefing today? These were not citizens & had been tried & convicted here, according to her. It’s been my opinion for decades that we shouldn’t pay for the incarceration of noncitizens but if their country won’t ensure punishment. Then what?
I’m concerned about everyone they’re sending elsewhere and I don’t believe anything they say but the truth still exists. We have to count on others to expose the truth, that is the role of The Fourth Estate. I also don’t think our taxes should pay for noncitizen convicted criminals to stay here.
Where are the receipts that these people committed any crimes. Last Sunday, 60 minutes did a piece on these so-called gang members that were sent to El Salvador. 75% had no criminal records. They were being arrested because of the way they dressed or if they had tattoos. Americans are next.
Dems need to shine a light on (and save) those immigrants who’ve been completely wronged while ALSO acknowledging that we too want *convicted* criminals deported. Also highlight the TAXES immigrants pay & stats re how many industries try to hire citizens to no avail (ag, meat packing, manual labor)
😂This post reminded me of a Thin Blue Line episode where one character says everyone should be locked up until they can prove they’re not guilty. Makes me think that might be the world we will be living in soon if Republicans don’t grow a spine anytime soon. This is the clip https://youtu.be/h3tWx251Hkw?si=CHq7nAN57iXfCjmV
The idea that a person is innocent unless proven otherwise in a court of law is dead now? How has this happened in America? Government has been taken over by gangsters.
Unironically how mass state police have handled Karen Reeds criminal case of the suspected murder of John okeefe. Head investigator was caught going through the accused's phone looking for nudes. He's been fired but they're still trying her.
I was called for jury duty a couple of weeks ago. The case was already 2 YEARS old when it was finally coming to trial. Justice in USA is incredibly slow!
The supreme kangaroo court did not issue the minions absolute immunity….of course something nazi Barbie Pam bondi too dumb to realize and Stephen miller too evil to care
This is how they think. I heard a person say due process would “take too long” as if human rights naturally must be extinguished for the sake of convenience. I responded that due process is an absolute pillar of our democracy and must be afforded to everyone.
Her response?
Crickets.
Exactly. And that is where we are headed if someone doesn't speak up. Where is Congress? @chrismurphyct.bsky.social @corybooker.com @sanders.senate.gov @aoc.bsky.social @elizabeth-warren.bsky.social
You are the one we need! Take care of Trump. No evidence means he can't hire a bazillion nefarious lawyers and create a million falacious lawsuits. We can just tell him, "You are going away because we don't like you." Same excuse he uses.
Worse, it would require me to expend a little effort -- and actually do my job.
But the truly horrendous thing is... I might have to admit that I'm wrong, my "side" is wrong, and what we're doing is objectively not only unconstitutional, but flagrantly immoral -- and that would be a _real_ crime.
So like why does Trump think communism is so bad if his policy requires absence of the delegation of powers? Doesn’t that make him lowkey like pro dictatorship. Or does he want to be a capitalistic dictator? Oh yeah that’s called fascism…nvmd the answer is yes
You (mindless, TDS-engorged): "Everyone deserves a fair trial."
Me (patriotic, fair-minded, virtuous): "You say that, but since he is clearly guilty, a trial would be useless. You just want the taxpayer to foot the bill for your sicko justice fetish."
This goes way back -- but I remember everyone getting mad they wanted to have trials for those involved in 9/11. Decades later we have dudes who have been detained in Guantanamo so long they're to insane to release despite now knowing they're innocent. Fuck these people.
From the party of, "Yes, he had classified documents and war plans next to his toilet, but first we need to ask the Supreme Court whether they've considered that he is A Very Special Boy who doesn't wanna obey the law."
a Brian Mast staffer said basically the same thing outside of the town hall today-a constituent was asking him about due process and he literally said "there are too many of them".
So many I'm finding were raised by my parents. I sat alone at the dinner table looking at ice cold mashed potatoes with congealed gravy for I don't know how long. Because I never forgot that, I didn't do it to my kids. If they wanted dessert they would finish their dinner.
Debating a conservative "friend" about Trump's lawsuits against various states about the '20 election, I kept saying they have no evidence. And he responded that there is plenty of evidence, but the woke/liberal judges disallow it in court. Turned out to be conspiracy theories -- Newsmax stuff.
And this is what callous shits do when they have decided they can intuit who is worthy of suffering (or not) in an arbitrary hell, at the leisure of their obscene power. Pretty sure they like looking this capricious and random though. Terror is a point of pride at this stage.
I think they're just trying to fill quotas? I remember Trump and Noem being mad that we weren't deporting enough people and she accused the agents of leaking raids

Yeah, unpaid tickets definitely warrant being locked up in CECOT indefinitely. 🙄
Uh, that's exactly who it is for.
And the answer is yes…we do want due process for EVERY ONE OF THEM!
Right Donnie!!!🤔
(I was so sure before I started reading)
It’s probably a Nazi.
America is no babe in the woods.
Y'know, unless it's a foreign gulag.
“Oh you want universal healthcare and high speed rail? Do you know how much WORK we would have to do???”
May of 2025: They're bad amigos, trust me. Just throw them in a foreign jail. No trials.
“Oh my god you want me to analyze "evidence" before putting out a news piece? Every time?? Do you have any idea how long that would take?”
Also disturbed by the image of a plastic bag filled with soda
You happen to be a HUGE ORANGE TURD
2) Why do you believe a word this administration says

Outrageous!!!
Actually, that would make some excellent new recruitment requirements.🤷🏼♀️

Raids in red states would fill their quotas. The ones "leaked" were all in blue states.
