absolutely no shade to anyone still on twitter (not my business) but the funniest thing to me is the people who were on here a lot early on and then went back to posting mostly over there because they needed the juice

I'm here more but since I also work very hard on my animations I post them there as well. I actually lost a lot of my interactions there which really sucks. Once this place has video upload it's over (◕ᴗ◕✿)
did a like for like comparison with twitter yesterday (my first tweet in about three months and probably my last) - with 3300 followers I got 4 likes an 1 retreat
here, with 1475 followers I got four to five times that and people are still engaging
Yeah,i have a few mutuals who have done that. They just need the confrontation ,and im fine with that .Some people enjoy the fight ,im much happier getting through the day not been constantly annoyed to the point of fury, over and over again.
People miss X as it's the only legal place to say the N word and punch down on minorities with support of the app and moderators and users who just look on.
the only people I’m *really* frustrated with are the convos I see over there like “I want to switch to Bluesky but nobody I know is posting there” and like a dozen people reply over there “same” and I assume these folks can’t even organize a ding dang potluck because Y’ALL
I mostly left my account up for anyone who liked my art with a link to come find us here. Seeing my fave communities just tear one another apart drained every creative juice out of me that we're only just picking up again. It's not worth the energy sap.
Twitter logged me off 1 week before I received my Bluesky acceptance. They logged me off and asked for my 2 -step verification code which I ever turned on in first place. Been months and still they can’t help or respond to my message on customer support. Twitter is long dead.
I definitely prefer Bluesky, but there's just more people on Twitter and more news/drama to see. I've been trolling there a bit more in the wake of the last hbomberguy video cuz it was entertaining to see all the reactions. I'm on a lot less social media in general since Twitter went to shit tho.
I wouldn’t say I needed the juice. But I felt like I had to, because my posts here stopped reaching people and a majority of my audience *is* still Twitter based.
I get what you mean, though. Even if the juice is rancid flavor, people still love seeing train wrecks in motion.
Between here not yet having the juice and there not being worth the juice, I have mostly stopped posting. The other place, run by a now fully radicalized fascist, is still the best spot on the internet for news services and funny bookish 7 and 8/10 thirst follows unfortunately 😞
Interesting. I'm on both, but I'm finding it rather dull here. Obviously, it takes time to find like-minded folk, but, similarly to Threads, there is a lot of self-promoting, and people mainly asking for followers. I still prefer Twitter
I get that, but the majority of the posts I see (that I don't follow) are either, mostly women asking for follows, people promoting businesses or just plain boring. If there is a nifty way of finding like-minded topics/accounts to follow, please enlighten me
It's worse on Threads. People criticise Twitter and call it toxic, but if you find a core group of like-minded folk, it can be interesting, fun, and supportive. I only have a very small Twitter following of *checks notes 600+, so it's not about feeding my ego.
This site is still busted tho. Love logging on to just see replies to things. Learn how to thread, Bluesky, and I’ll finally be able to leave that hellsite
I have no juice aspirations, but need to figure out how to get more of the people I follow there (who I suppose are enjuiced?) to at least cross post here.
Mostly science-y type follows are what I don't want to miss, and what keep me bouncing back there too 🤷♂️
I don’t see it as funny, I see it as a problem on the platform. Invites might have their purpose but they essentially limit growth. Which translates to a shorter graph. If only a subset of what we want to see is here, it is not that surprising to see people leave after a short time.
Same. With the communities I'm in, if the entire crowd can't come at once, it's virtually impossible to move at all. You need a core of people who all choose the same alternative & are willing to deal with cross-posting headaches for an indefinite time. 😕
A personal anecdotal example: I find extremely hard to find people from my country in the areas I am interested in this platform. They are on Twitter. How long do I have to wait until they decide to migrate too? Social networks are not an exclusive personal choice.
I’ve just joined, having received an invite.
I left Twitter shortly after Musk bought and set about dismantling it. I’ve been looking for a similar platform that offers similar engagements opportunities - not interested in numbers - just good quality discussion.
At best it is a surrogate dm system to reach out to people I don’t know (yet) on here that have a presence on Twitter. Since everyone has to deal with this awkward arrangement most people are understanding of it. Besides that. Yeah… don’t miss it much.
I can't personally do any of my vtubing or networking stuff on there, in any good conscience.
The only major thing I would use an account for now is to look at artists or cosplayers to find out where else to follow them, especially with how fucked the twitter timeline is now.
I never had a need of juice on twitter and I'm not going back, iy ends up being a toxic relationship, and the longer u keep it, the harder it is to quit. I get more positive engagement here of a few people that I had from thousands back there. At this moment, it's just bots scammers and nazis.

big winding down energies.
Morning pal
2. You’re not wrong
It’s getting real.
Ali Velshi is active, and the MSNBC feed is apparently ready to go!
I'm gonna try now that there's a butterfly though! lol

'Ok, do it.'
'...No.'

Bluesky tends to be more personal posts for me.
