things I have done in a public restroom outside of the cubicles: washed my hands, fixed my makeup, fixed my hair, made friends with drunk women, borrowed a tampon, lent a tampon, thrown up in a bin (hg life), texted, changed my shoes
things I would bothered with actual men seeing me do: none of that

Trans women are going through the exact same fight women did against the patriarchy who wanted them to stay out of public spaces. Women's restrooms was a hard-fought battle.
but skip the last paragraph where she says it's fine for the terfs to be such evil pieces of shit.
This is the debate we should be having about toilets 😧
No males in ladies ever
No females in gents ever
Dads go in ladies with daughters
Dads go in disabled with daughters
Dads don't take daughters out until old enough to toilet by themselves
Dads ask a stranger to supervise daughter
🤯
Blood is a bodily fluid. Bodily fluids can transmit pathogens, you need to take contamination precautions!
"I can't use those, I can't go wash it in the shared sink!"
Lady, you dump it out into the loo and wipe it with some TP, or give it a rinse into the toilet with a sports bottle if you must
Speaking as a man…you what?
When I saw that, I realised that this argument was not driven by reason, but by fear.
Not only are they not actually clean, not only have you possibly introduced someone else germs to them (in addition to adding your biohazard to the sink)
But now they're even more wet than just what my own body did to them?
I'd rather borrow a tampon and try running for someplace I could buy fresh undies.
So.
I mean YIKES.
Because I thought that’s what everyone did. 😳
Things I'd be bothered with any other kind of human there; none of the above.
Full disclosure: I have a vested interest in that outcome, as a man who objects to other men pissing everywhere, and knows women being in the same space will kill that demon.
It always amused me how the standard of toilet cleanliness on youth voyages visibly improved after each group of teenagers had taken their turn on the cleaning rota 😉
The manufactured controversies now are so obvious and tiresome.
Oh, who am I kidding? People like that don't travel internationally.
