This is a booze post: for Bourbon - drink Still Austin (queer owned) or Uncle Nearest (Black woman owned). If you don’t wanna drink American, use Canadian: Crown Royal Special Reserve or BRBN Bourbon Style Whisky. You’re welcome. 🇺🇸 🇨🇦 🥃

The only thing I don't like about Canada is they allow low rye content in "rye" mashbills. Shouldn't call it rye unless it's at least 70% imho, but even the States don't require that.
I don't drink often, but when I do, it's Peach Crown Royal. When I buy wine, it's from Llano Estacado (Lubbock) or directly from Adam's County Winery in Gettysburg
Uncle Nearest is awesome! Widow Jane out of Brooklyn, New York also has women working in the positions of director of operations and master distiller, so I try to support that brand too.
I drink Mexican by preference but used to occasionally have cans Jim Beam and coke. I've swapped to Bundy and coke, which is an Aussie rum mix. Also it contains more caffeine, more sugar and more alcohol than JB so nothing can possibly go wrong.
I’ve been trying to buy Uncle Nearest since Jeffrey Wright did an information short video about its history. It’s hard to find up here at the best of times, and these are not the best of times.
Crystal Skull vodka is Canadian and has the coolest bottle in the world. Pur Vodka is a really good vodka. Won many awards.
Cirka Gin is an excellent Canadian gin. So is Canpoèe which is a very classic gin with the notes of pine and juniper. Excellent for martinis. Not great to mix.
Good idea. But I’ll stick with Canadian whiskey… supplemented perhaps with a bit of scotch or Irish. Complemented with Ukrainian vodka and local gin. Say farewell to US based spirits and wine for now. Let’s see how y’all do in 2028… until then, no US based products for me.
Americans, please consider Canadian Crown Royal. I’m not sure why, but whenever I ask for a rye and ginger in the US there is some confusion. So I just ask for Crown and ginger or good old Canadian Club
Or Madam, a blended 🥃 named in honor of #KamalaHarris from @outspokenspirits.bsky.social “Women-owned, LGBTQ-led, and the largest crowdfunded distillery in US history” now here on 🦋.
Wiser's is the superior mass market Canadian whiskey. Particularly their 15- and 18-year varieties, but even their well grades are next-day-headache-free sippers & mixers.
If you prefer Bourbon over Rye, try Spring Mill John Sleeman & Sons Traditional Straight Whisky - Canadian bourbon, except they're not allowed to call it Bourbon....
Look, I definitely understand why people have strong feelings about my state. But please don't forget about the 4.8 million of us here who voted blue. It's unfair to take it out on the companies here who likely voted the same as you. We are trying to change this state, but it's an uphill battle.
As a fellow red state resident (KY), I understand what you’re saying but $ is the only thing that motivates these companies. We aren’t boycotting over typical R vs D policy differences. This is about saving our democracy. It’s going to hurt one way or another. We must do what’s necessary to save it.
Thank you for your note...
Kentucky Bourbon IS my Favorite, but with Trump's Tariffs I can switch to Rye from Canada, or Scotch or Tequila.
Lean on McConnell and speak up for Governor Beshear.
Red State Kentucky Did Give us McConnell and is failure to Take Trump Down.
Even Now
Best regards.

Oh I was talking about my state of Texas, but I understand your response. There is not a lot I can lean on here (maybe Cornyn is the sanest?) but we at least have Jasmine Crockett who is speaking up nationally quite well...
I’d love nothing more than drinking fine Kentucky bourbon or Tennessee whiskey in person while on vacation. 🇨🇦🍁 As soon as someone deposes the dictators leading your nation. 🐍🐍
I wish I liked rum more. I don’t dislike it, but I haven’t found the utter love, like some. But it took me years to find bourbon too. I was a vodka girl for so long.
I’m wondering if the price of Kentucky bourbon and whiskey will drop now that they won’t be exporting to Canada. Canada has been their number one buyer. Any Pappy drinkers out there?
Bourbon is too sweet. I'll drink Rye, especially Canadian or single malt scotch. The Scots have hated Pres. Shit Stain for a long time. Have a wee draught.
I learned that 'bourbon' is a protected term for products distilled in Kentucky , however there are other corn whiskies to try too, like Canadian Signal Hill.

Made me search Amazon for margarita machines, they are so good.
And, of course, Irish, and Scotch

(Their butter tart flavour could not be more 🇨🇦).
Omg I need this in my life.
…this behaviour is probably why the LCBO buys sooooo much booze…
