This is awesome! What a great piece! I did a little hand embroidery for an accent on my Halloween costume, and now I've been thinking of trying to hand embroider some jeans I want to repair.
That is so cool! I’d love to wear that when I was working and then stand up to show my clients what we are trying to do with each therapeutic technique. “Let’s prune here!”
I’m so sorry , I told you the knitted neurones were at the Wellcome Foundation but in fact they’re at the Francis Crick Institute. The exhibition is on til June.
Have you seen the handknitted neurons at the Wellcome Foundation inLondon? They gave me a free knit-your -own neuron pack. It came with a knitting pattern for each different type of neuron. I was enchanted.
You really need to bond with the knitting scientists there. There were photos of them in their white coats knitting away. I don’t know if that exhibition is still on.
Maybe I can make time for some crafts over winter break. I miss sewing, but nursing school is hard.
Where do you get your supplies? The tread looks beautiful.
Ooooh this is mostly a thick Japanese embroidery thread I get at Modern Domestic in Portland, Oregon. It's like $3 a package, which is a lot for embroidery floss but I LOVE IT
