My husband and I run a game store and after all the tariff announcements, he decided to write out kind of a "behind the scenes" of how we spend and spill it out for people who don't understand. He's had so many reactions and shares I wanted to bring it here, too.

Much as I wish it otherwise. I have good relationships with these stores.
And now this nonsense. Oof.

Interesting for me:
„What will be your consequences regarding Trump?“
Try to survive somehow?

All for domestic production, but people think it’s as easy as flipping a light switch.

Now with less revenue will Employees even have a job?
Hopefully the industry can adopt the tariff pass through model proposed by City of Games, because I don't see how the current margin-based-pricing is

Can "work" from China be brought back to US - well - yes.
Not "jobs" but "work". Cannot bring something made for $2 and hour to US, pay American worker $20 and have product price consumers can afford.
Solution - increased robotics. Can then bring cost down.
Only way could work would be for government to force businesses to invest and make product and guarantee big orders.
To make high heeled shoes? Seriously.
Still, with AI,might be possible to coordinate production of all businesses in US in way desired by government to keep production in US.
Is called Command Economy.
One party.
Command economy.
Every one guaranteed a job - just maybe sweeping streets.
Controlled news (Is no truth in Pravda)
And of course KGB and open windows.
And of course, ruled by an elite.
"Of the extra $4 tax we're adding to a $10 thing,
the consumer's going to pay $1 and the US business that sells it will have to eat $3, because China's sure not going to pay Trump."

I would love to talk to you and your husband.
China announced reciprocal tariffs taking effect on Thursday.
Does *anybody* besides Reaper make mass-produced figures in the US?...
A lot of "buy American" people have no idea how many things made here are created using foreign components. We don't have the natural resources to produce some of these things, and the facilities to make many more of them simply don't exist.
