Just do me a favor. Before you say "veterans all voted for Trump so fuck them" or something similar keep in mind that if you're a white woman or Gen X white man we could say the same. Second, there are 100 VA rest homes caring for thousands of elderly vets. They didn't vote for him either. (1/X)

What does it really cost you to use the slightly higher figure that acknowledges children can't vote?
As a "democracy advocate," I would hope that you would get basic facts about democracy correct.
Given the norms of our society say children can't vote, it seems disingenuous to stick with that number.
23% only makes sense if you include children.
Are you implying that you wish children had voted?
Please use a number calculated from the voting population.

You either CHOSE someone . . . .
THAT WANTED TO "DO TO YOU"
or
SOMEONE THAT WANTED TO "DO FOR YOU"
Now many of us will be punished, in some aspect, in order to free up more of our money, to give to the rich people !
I tried to talk to them prior to the election, resulting in an icy response (blaming the current admin for EVERYTHING.)
I've voted in every election ever since. I'm retired military and had worked in DOD after.
Just never mattered until then due to his ideology and hate.
There didn't seem to be a huge difference to me between the two sides.
I was mistaken. The divide has grown larger but it was still there back before I was invested.
I certainly didn't vote for that orange shitbag or his reprehensible Shillbilly ticket-bitch.
I would love to see an investigation about patients with dementia voting by proxy.
The number of relatives who receive mail ballots for this patients is bigger than what we want to recognize.
Isn't this a type of fraud?
Can be reworked and we can take care of our servicemen. Cutting vet services is a non starter and unamerican. If you thank them for their service, then take care of them.
Not all Veterans voted for the Orange faced lying cry baby.
People are not homogenized milk. We’re more like assorted jellybeans.
But what the fuck for the ones who did?
DOGE is headed in the wrong direction. VA spending has real, positive knock-on effects: improved productivity, reduced costs.
Government spending isn't - and can't be treated the same as - corporate or personal budgets.
Just glad I do not rely on VA benefits.
If my ex were still alive, he certainly would never have supported that buffoon.
Fuck em, they voted against their own interests. Ignorance is no excuse.

"According exit polls on Election Day, 12% of the voters in this presidential election had served in the U.S. military and 65% of them said they voted for Donald Trump, while 34% said they voted for Kamala Harris."
So most did, despite many warnings.
WE didn't.
And, in point of fact, local VFW chapters all around the country jumped on the national board when they endorsed Trump and made the pull the endorsement!
They're about to experience some buyer's remorse.
A push to cut veterans disability benefits is gaining traction, experts warn

Millions of VETS didn’t vote & therefore contributed to the result=TRUMP.
Apathy has consequences. FAFO still applies.
I pray every VET gets the healthcare they need & we must ALL fight for it.🙏
I don't care who a vet voted for. if they're in the VA healthcare system, it means they bled for this country, and deserve everything they were promised, period.
While I disagree with whoever voted for Trump, that doesn't negate their sacrifice.
Simply put, one cannot paint the Veteran community with one brush.
