Have ChatGPT write it. Give it to Claude and ask it to rewrite to make it sound like a human wrote it. Give it back to ChatGPT and ask it if it reads as if it were written by an LLM. Finally, add your writing style to it.
I just really like writing long SQL queries. It's my happy place. I can't imagine not wanting to talk about it, especially if you're already posting it on social media.
“I hope this response finds you well”
I never want to shame someone for using a tool, but it’s best used for guidance and inspiration, not copy and paste. Keep the human in the loop.
One of my irrational fears is that I'll write something so thoughtful and grammatically correct that the person on the other end thinks I used AI instead of my brain. Sometimes I even, throw in random commas or typos. Because what AI would do something so crazy?
I throw in random (but applicable) literary or musical references. For example, what AI would compare the California Gold Rush to 50Cent's Get Rich or Die Tryin'?
I have lost a lot of respect for the subset of my colleagues who, despite having bachelor degrees and years of work experience in IT, are incapable of writing a coherent paragraph and depend on the machine to do it for them
Can be an equalizer for places where traditionally conforming to a particular tone is used as a social filter, especially for ESL: generic job / apartment application, request for refund or discount type things
But maybe this is already shifting because it’s an arms race?
I guess I'll have to delve for some arguably better words. Additionally, common chatgpt words notwithstanding, I'll be adept in choosing dynamic, ever-evolving words during this transformation. In summary, delve.
Had a colleague boast that ChatGPT was writing all his email for him, so I filtered him to the round file — he asked why so I replied “if you’re not going through the effort to write it, why should I take the effort to read it?”
I'll be honest, I've used chatgpt to help write emails where I'm unsure how my tone is coming off in it. I know it can come off like a homunculus some times, but trying to communicate with some people feels like a totally different language.
Every time I hear an AI shill be like "you can't tell that AI wrote this" and I'm like clearly they've never been on a talk selection committee or even read the AWS blog.
What an interesting observation! The ability to identify text written by an LLM is a unique and powerful skill that will certainly set you apart from your peers. There are many talents that can help distinguish one person as...
I feel a little part of my soul dying as I write this.
I am genuinely worried people might think that about how I write simply because I am a train of thought non-elegant writer. I wouldn't say GenAI has the same vibe as me, but sometimes I write things and go, wait did I hallucinate while writing with my own brain...
Especially when it's being submitted to an expert in the subject matter and writing is the "destination" and not a side effect. Submitting raw GenAI text to an English teacher is a fools' errand.
I hope this tweet finds you well, @IanColdwater! 🚀 Have you explored the latest from ChatGPT? It's a game-changer for brainstorming, technical deep dives, and even creative writing. Let me know if you'd like to see it in action—I'd love to hear your thoughts! 🤖💡"
Fair point! If something comes across as too "AI-written," let me know—I'll adjust the tone to feel more natural, personal, or whatever you're aiming for!

I gave me info for someone with the same first name but a completely different last name.
I asked why and it apologised and said it found nothing for me so it decided to just pick someone else.

To be honest I generally write my own content but I hate summaries so I tend to palm them off to the AI overlords
