Be kind to a someone today. Everyone is walking around scared. Some are right on the edge and others push it to their unconscious but no one is immune. This plane has all the makings of hell but it can be the opposite when we connect with each other

You know what , Suzanne, we need a coalition of all of us that are on Social Security,Social Security disability , need dental care too !
If we united like the people , We The People are , we would be unstoppable , and that is what they fear ! Let's go for it !
I don't know how we,get started but we must do something !
Citizens for humane treatment ie. Healthcare. we need healthcare advocates like @petermorley.bsky.social , to help get the word out . We all need Healthcare, and just basic needs ! We're human beings ! π€¬π₯°π«ΆπΎπ―π₯π₯π₯
βWe The Old Peopleβ π Count me in! After seeing Leader Jeffries post earlier, I planned to call my Congresswoman first thing tomorrow to say that I support the Democrats NO vote and list SS, MEDICAID & MEDICARE as my reasons why. Could be powerful if a bunch of us called!
I am barely breathing. The angry boy, a bit too insane, I'm drowning slowly, but still I can't remember anything, I probably won't come back around again.
Not cringe. I may have hard-headed opinions, but I still strive to be kind. My vitriol comes out mainly when thereβs zero accountability for those in power who are enact violence dailyβwhich is to say itβs almost always provoked. When itβs not, I hold myself accountable.
Not cringe at all. Kindness matters. We will never be as miserable as those maga freaks. There are many on the edge right now...you never know when something you post could save someone.
And be kind to yourself. Step away from this mess for a day, eat well, sleep well, exercise, garden, watch a sunset, look at old photos, read a book. Find a small cup of joy each day.
It's only cringe to those who have allowed fear and hate to rule their lives and darken their hearts. It is in times like these that it's most important to connect, to care and to show compassion and kindness. It's the only way we'll get through it.
Yeah, the amount of coddling I'm seeing in some of the replies is gross. I'm not going to tell a Nazi that they are a good person to ease their mind if they're afraid of some comeuppance.
Profound truth. Fear is the shadow we all cast, yet kindness is the light that reveals our shared reflection. In seeing ourselves in others, hell becomes a garden, each act of compassion a seed. Weβre threads in the same tapestry; to mend one is to heal all.
And I would venture to say that those who made the biggest mistake are now terrified, but donβt want to admit it. They want to save face or donβt know what to do as they realize theyβve acted against their own interests. Watching them suffer a bit may be fun but turning them is even better.
You put it out thereβ¦ itβs gonna make someone feel better or encouraged π Even if itβs a microscopic increment of improvementβ¦ better than negativity dude! ππβ
Its a very nice statement. I'm over blaming, over yelling, fighting... I'm working on the things I can and doing better by myself so I can do better for the people around me. My home, my neighbors, my community, friends, family. like you said Strangers you com in contact with! Start there!
ALRIGHT ALL. Had this idea today and I think it should go viral. A great way to protest peacefully and get a message across. Please, please, please reshare everywhere.
Followed just for this post. This is exactly it. I am in dread that trump and Johnson are going to kill Medicaid putting me out of my house and probably dead shortly after that. And yet as I walked along the 1.5 mile line to see Bernie Sanders yesterday I found hope in community.
Some karen lady in the park threatened to kick my 5 month old puppy because he was loving on her kids in the park. Her kids weren't afraid, but she was screaming her head off as if my puppy was biting & attacking. He's a Am Staff terrier, so she profiled like he was a "mean" pitbull. Puppy kickerπ€¬
I feel like my head is on fire today. I just keep screaming because I don't understand why Americans have given everything away for nothing by petulant racism and raging hatred of everything this country stood for.
A big bloated bloviating orange douche and his fatuous little shithead accessory dog stole an election. There was no giving anything away. A great proportion of us were dragged over the side of mayhem scratching and clawing the entire distance.
πππ We just bought T-shirts from @cliffcashcomedy.bsky.social that say "Punch a Nazi"! Haven't gotten them yet, but will proudly wear them in our ultra conservative small town. Maybe wear them to a monthly dinner at the American Legion Hall?
True, I've been feeling like there aren't many people paying attention who are in my little town. But today I ran into a former co-worker while downtown. She hugged me and said she's 100,% with me and loves my FB posts about all this fuckery. It really helps to hear that.
I helped an elderly man stand during the intermission of an orchestra performance today. It was really nice and brightened both our days. Strongly recommend just doing something nice for a stranger. It quieted so much of my background anxiety about the world.
YES! Practice "viral" community - start a conversation with a person you've never met. I complimented a lady on her purple Mohawk and Fabulous fashion we talked for a good while and she offered me some of her wardrobe that she no longer needs. Saw her again and it's old friends now
So, be mean to the people who are unusually happy and upbeat. Just basing that off the Trump flag I've been able to see for 5 years from my kitchen window.

I think fakery frequently extends from a deep-seated fear. And yes, from fear a countless number of atrocities have been done. But fear itself, and even some artifice, arenβt of themselves evil. Intention matters.
I have changed my mind. The fake comes from the pressure. There is a difference between that and the deliberate evil.
People are fake because they believe that is who they are supposed to be: like they behave in a way because it seems impossible to survive any other way under the system.
Very true. Thereβs wisdom in this angle. Social pressure to conformity, aided by immense fear, can crush ppl all out of natural shape. Being fake seems the βbestβ route to ensure survival or success. Fakery leveraged to deceive en masse and create illness is truly evil (ex: Kardashians).
I happened to be in the right place at the right time yesterdayβat the park with my kidsβto defuse a situation that could have easily been the kind of thing that all-too-often rises to pointless tragedy. It felt good to be a part of the solution, if only for a brief moment.
Itβs not cringe. We in the 21st C with all our complacency about peace and stability in the west are tasting real fear for the first time in 2 generations. Soothing fear with compassion is the way.
I love being kind in public. And in between educating Tesla drivers and avoiding reckless drivers this bike rider is that guy that gives a nod and smile in passing if not stopping to always ask if someone needs help. It is good for the heart and soul to be kind
Thank you. Iβve felt overwhelmed. I remember our fight to save Obamacare. We bombarded Congress with calls and letters. Iβve never felt so empoweredβ¦.so connected to my fellow citizens. Watching the growing protests brings me to tears. All the heartfelt replies here gives me hope. βοΈπ«π
Incredible to me how quickly the person behind the counter's attitude changes when I offer them some kindness. Too many people are impatient and dismissive with the person cashing out their shopping.
I am trying. My uber driver confessed to me he voted for trump and is now worried. I told him I didn't think he was a horrible person, (he seemed to need it) but he should reach out to his elected officials and let them know. I think the constant maga bashing is not bringing anyone to our side
I agree. Iβve been trying to decide on the best place to post a comment about not assuming that those of us in the U.S., are not doing anything. Itβs easy to criticize from the bleachers.
(UK) I am sorry you are feeling that, I feel you are doing as much as you can - I'd like to see more Democrats like Bernie though - he is such a good thinking person!
Yes - he is one of many good souls. Itβs also humbling for me to see what it feels like to be under a microscope. Thereβs no way in heck Iβd go up to someone in Ukraine and ask βwhy arenβt you doing anything?β Keeping that in mind for the whole world.
(UK) Agree!
Similar thing in UK - I would like to clout anyone who voted for Brexit - but, bottom line, Heritage Foundation back it - same as they backed Trump - so what hope is there that normal, nice people would smell the coffee?
But the constant racism, gay-bashing, trans-erasure, and literally thousands and thousands of other terrible examples was enough to bring him to their side. Idk dude, this person didnβt need to be scolded, but maybe consider he was simply trying to garner sympathy. Heβll do what he wants in the end.
Sorry, but to consider βmaga-bashingβ even a thing makes me upset. Why must all educated, empathetic, knowledgeable people always bend the knee to cretinous wastes? The pigeon will just continue shitting on the board, and weβll keep coddling that poor pigeon. Maybe heβll learn chess one day.
All the damage will be done by 2026, forget about 2028. WE get that orange motherfucker out NOW, or NO future elections will matter. Do ANY of my fellow countrymen comprehend how badly he devastated our country in just the past week? If not, you're lowballing reality and need to wake the fuck up.

I was going to write something depressing - so just letting you know I put all the worms back in my garden after riddling the soil.

very true words. thank you, eve6. opening up is more important than shutting down. imagine that scenario. it will help noone, nothing. reach out. we all need each other.
It's real tho. Best remedy for existential dread is walking through my city and talking to neighbors. Nothing grand or noble about it. Just people happy to know each other. It solves nothing in the short term but it adds up.
While at the store today I made it a point to smile and be kind to everyone. Life is so stressful now and with grocery prices high, I just want to be kind.
Where I am now, no one seems perturbed at all. If I flew a sign at city hall I would just look insane. How can I actively engage in an apathetic environment?

It's so fucking foreign for everyone now.
Everyone is living Facebook: LIVE and like just terrified to be real because they'll be crushed.
Nice sentiment, though.

Let's DO THIS

Conservatives are the only people on the planet who deserve to feel pain and suffering.
I do what I can to make life nicer for the people around me.
Small, positive acts can turn someone's day around.
And helping others will, in turn, improve your day, as well.
Stay groovy
