but another justification I have seen is that you now you can unlock the case with a smart phone app so this is just more tracking marketing
A. Nobody can afford it anymore;
B. Thieves can sell it cheaper at a flea market or online and make their own profit; or
C. Both of the above.
maybe "they" have decided brick and mortar stores are not profitable and this is their subtle way of saying buy online ?
