Wasn’t expecting this to blow up but I am taking everyone’s recommendations for games to play if I haven’t played them yet 🙂↕️🙂↕️ I was only reminiscing over TLOU when I posted this
Ughh I finally finished Phantom Liberty a couple days ago. What a great ending. I had thought it was gonna just be over when you beat Kurt Hansen and they'd send you back to Night City. Now I wonder if it'd be totally different If I chose to screw Reed over instead of Song Mi...
Especially seem to do it for the smaller, shorter games #thankgoodnessyourehere and #creaturesofava for memorable examples. Though as final credits go you cannot beat the film #underparis this year
I don't know if I would be able to play Hellblade in VR (if I had a set) and with headphones on to be honest, but it must be a whole different level of experience!
Me as a kid beating Kingdom Hearts 2 for the first time. I sat at the “battle report” screen for way too long hoping that MAYBE there was more when I knew there wouldn’t be
Felt this one in my soul. I sobbed for so long and then they got the letter from the king and then it’s just dearly beloved playing in the background while I sat there motionless. 😭
I'd say hang on until untethered headsets are ubiquitous and cheap, but VR really isn't kicking off. Which is a shame, because it's amazing. I've probably burnt about 800 hours in Skyrim this year!
The stories of each family member with different gameplay and art styles... The stories were amazing. A great game. The bath tub scene was such a beautiful retelling of such a heartbreaking event.
I make a habit of watching credits on all games I completed. Small tribute to the makers who got me hours of joy. Enjoy most which have something funny (like Portal) or an epilogue scene afterwards.
Yep, only had it happen once or twice, only one I can remember was Before Your Eyes, it was a heartbreaking game, I loved it so much, highly recommend to everyone, it’s inexpensive and not long at all
I hate it! cause many times in games or movies, they show a last video at the end of it. So now i force myself to watch it thru it. and many times for nothing :)
If the world were fair, every kid would know talk about that game with the same reverence as CoD or fifa. Masterpiece. There’s a new one in the works too from what I read!
Pretty much every Final
Fantasy game (including FFXIV and each expansion). Most recent game was FFXVI. I cried and sat through the credits just trying to compose myself. Also, that after credits scene..
I wonder if you're playing on keyboard and mouse? The ship controls make sense on controller. Also understand you're in a vacuum so it's not the same as driving a car
pity you can't experience it twice. the next best thing is watching someone's playthrough on YouTube. it is pretty fun watching people immediately figure out things which took you ages and yet getting blocked in the places you barely noticed. really highlights how people have different perspectives
Three main cases of this, Final Fantasy XVI because goddamn that ending combined with the reprise of the prelude hit hard, persona 3 reload because the change in the title screen felt so fulfilling, and Xenoblade Chronicles, just a beautiful title screen that I sit at sometimes to admire.
I had this with Nier:Automata. And for every time the credits rolled. And also everytime before I entered the game after starting up and reminiscing on the title screen.
The Last Of Us 2 (hear me out.) The game design, the immersion, the story. I just really dug the vibe. It did get a little long in the tooth at the last but I really enjoyed that game for what it was.
Recently, the Silent Hill 2 remake, although I think it could've been more polished in some aspects, still I think it's one of my favorite survival horror games of all history, and this remake was almost perfect, I cried more than once playing it, from the story to the music and ambience.
The MGS 4 and 5 title screen did this exact thing for me. Have you ever done this with a title because the title screen was better than the actual game? FF8 did that one for me.
Both Ori games did that to me. It’s an amazing feeling but at the same time it can be an empty feeling. Just gotta sit in your feels and embrace it, ya know?
My wife did better. Dead Space Remake. She beat the final boss, she skipped the credits and went straight to the menu to start a New Game+. She never does that with a game. She normally gives it some time before replying. It was just that good for her...

And gta 5
Game: "Hold X to Skip"
Me: "Hey, give them their time; they earned it!"
I do this for every game I complete 'cos...
1. Some games give you achievements for watching the credits.
2. Some games carry on 'after' the credits roll!
Hopefully someday! It sounds like a lot of fun.
And then you do it all over again 25 more times.
I can honestly say that I have never felt the magic of a game as I did when I started, played and (eventually) finished BotW.
Only comparable i’d say to landing outside Princess Peach’s castle for the first time in M64, or waking up in Ocarina of Time.
#games #magic #zelda
--Psychonauts
--Horizon Zero Dawn
--To The Moon
Possibly some others, but those come immediately to mind!
Hogwarts Legacy
I finished that game 2 years ago now and I still find myself crying to Weight of the World when it plays.
Also God of War Ragnarok
👨🍳’s💋
Will buy the third because of how great the first was.👍
Fantasy game (including FFXIV and each expansion). Most recent game was FFXVI. I cried and sat through the credits just trying to compose myself. Also, that after credits scene..
God that game destroyed me 😭
It's newtonian vacuum motion. But I can understand when someone has problems getting into it.
Definitely one of those games
i was sobbing and crying the entire time as well
And alt version - there were also games I could watch the intro and title sequences just roll over and over (Xenon 2 and Cannon Fodder, being two).
