Trump Turns His Back on the Markets. It Could Break MAGA. The president has tried to acknowledge the stock market’s fall without backing off from the policies that triggered it. He’s playing with fire www.barrons.com/articles/tru...

We’re not “heading” towards fascism. We’re there.

What. The. Actual. F. I guess Republicans in Congress are okay with this? “Senior described Schmidt being “violently interrogated” at Logan Airport for hours, and being stripped naked, put in a cold shower by two officials, and being put back onto a chair.” www.wgbh.org/news/local/2...

Sad to see this happen.. crankyflier.com/2025/03/11/t...

9 years ago, Musk got big coverage for saying that his target for manned flights to Mars was 2025. 2025 has arrived. Those flights to Mars have not. Instead Musk has destroyed a social media co, is destroying a car co, and is wrecking US govt + US economy. www.washingtonpost.com/news/the-swi...

“Anyone caught checking them can and will be deported,” he warned.

The detention of Mahmoud Khalil puts all Americans fundamental rights at risk. And if you can’t see that because you oppose his politics, well that’s exactly the reaction Trump and his cronies are counting on. www.theatlantic.com/ideas/archiv...

For fucks sake.

This is all, of course, lies

I'm usually the first to say that presidents receive way too much credit and blame for economic conditions that they have little power to control or influence in the short-term. Not this time. This is 100% self-inflicted by the president and totally unnecessary.

The scale of corruption being perpetrated right now is almost beyond the limits of imagination. This is just one example, almost certainly not the greatest.

Look, folks, this is it. The entire ballgame. Either we're a Republic of laws & the Constitution, or we have a dictator. This is fascism, & the impeachment vote should be happening today. Every single university president in the country should be out, in front of microphones, condemning this.

US aid to Ukraine since Feb 2022 totals $128 billion, mostly older weapons, not cash. The crypto industry is seeking a bailout of $100 billion from the US Treasury. That is cash. Remember that when crypto CEOs accuse anyone else of "grifting." www.cfr.org/article/how-...

The FAA approved another launch before the last crash investigation was completed — and it ended in another disaster. Why is SpaceX getting a free pass from DOGE cuts? 🤔

New in PN: Trump’s "Crypto Reserve" is a world historical grift "It’s a kind of farm subsidy, but for billionaires making digital magic beans instead of food."

Trump inherited an economy that was firing on all cylinders. Now, just weeks into his tenure, the outlook is far gloomier -- and the sudden deterioration is due almost entirely to his policies and the uncertainty they have created. @colbylsmith.bsky.social #EconSky www.nytimes.com/2025/03/07/b...

really reassuring that the spaceX guy is taking over the FAA

One way to think about this administration is: Trump's last full year in office was a global pandemic with no known cure that filled hospitals with dying patients and shut down the entire in-person economy. And firms think the current business environment has *more* uncertainty.

It takes a unique kind of genius to fuck up the US-Canada relationship.

I see tomorrow is Friday. Is Friday going a tariff day, or a some-tariffs day, or a no-tariffs day? Or will it be some other kind of day, like an annex-Greenland day, or a Hannibal-Lecter-wants-to-have-you-for-dinner day, or an Arnold-Palmer-size day, or something else? I just can’t keep track.

You hate to see it... couldn't happen to a nicer guy! </end sarcasm> www.cnn.com/2025/03/06/b...

The fundamental weakness of Elon Musk is lack of it.

Just a couple of sociopaths justifying their cruelty.

This list is so long and taking up so much real estate in his speech it’s almost like they want to distract from their massive cuts to Medicaid

Trump promises tax cuts for everyone. The tax increases he imposed today would wipe out any tax cuts the bottom of 40% of Americans would receive. This doesn’t count additional import taxes he’s considering or the cuts to Medicaid and nutrition assistance.

Trump is a traitor who wants to turn us into Russia so that he can rob our country the way Putin has robbed his. Even more pathetic, though, is that Silicon Valley is willing to help him & sell out everything that’s made them rich just to get their crypto scams bailed out.

If by funny you mean disgraceful and embarrassing, sure
