I suspect by now a great many people would like to send Elon a bullet point.

43% approval rating ... 62% against his Gaza strategy 81% think we shouldn't trust Putin 83% oppose pardoning 1/6 rioters ... You have to wonder, what will it take for the rest of the non-MAGA-loyalists to finally disapprove? Bankruptcy? Martial Law? Trump kicking them directly in the genitals??

How about a compromise? Send him halfway between the US and the UK. Whichever side he swims to first has to keep him.

When I was a teenager, I was told my concerns and questions about religion weren't relevant because I was too young to understand. When I became an adult, I was told those growing concerns and questions were due to a lack of faith and self-study. The real message was always "Stop asking questions"

At what point does this bullshit reach defamation status that you could sue for? Asking for far too many people at this point...

Wow, that's awesome that he recovered and is still keeping on. Hope your floofball continues living a happy life for many years to come!

I cannot explain in words, but it looks like the head and the body come from two different cats in this picture. Cute though!

Waiting for a bunch of troll-faced MAGA assholes to show up and be like: "He wAs TaLKiNg AbOUt THe LiOn KInG MuSIcAL oN BRoADwAY, DuM DUmS!" And they'll all go on their way as fucking dumb as before.

No one has to give Ukraine any more aid if there's no more Ukraine! More resources to invest in local economy! To quote Ryan George (about Elon but it applies here too), "This man is playing 6D Connect Four!" What an amoral monster.

I hope that's true, that they'll blame the right people. That they won't decide that it's only just and fair to go take from their blue neighbors because they're the ones who "stole" all their taxpayer dollars. That the law will stop them if they try to. And I'm sad that hope is all I have left.

Intuition says it probably won't. This initial spike is people who gambled on Trump, the mystery box of lies and false rhetoric, finding out that nothing they wanted was under the lid. His diehard followers won't turn on him. Religious brainwashees will still tout he's better than the alternative.

"From anyone who voted for felon?" I'll take it you haven't opened Fox News, or Twitter, or r/conservative or any of the other places they congregate like flies on the festering wounds to the US. The ones on bsky make asses of themselves and get banned pretty quickly. The hate is still out there.

If FElon actually go through with this, someone should organize a donation page for people who were terminated from their federal jobs. I'll send them that check in a heartbeat.

In a way, it's almost worse. The pigs at least did it subtly, when no one who knew what the commandments once were was looking. They still needed something of the other farm animals. Trumpig, on the other hand, abandoned all pretext and is stripping away every rule that gets in his way. On camera.

Easy: Selectively quote the Bible and apply it out of context! They love this trick! Mark 14:7 "For ye have the poor with you always, and whensoever ye will ye may do them good: but me ye have not always." - Jesus Moral crisis averted! There'll always be starving kids, but there's only one Trump!

Arsenic was used medically in the past. Why not also bring that back in moderate doses as an OTC? Advertise that it's used in tanning without any other context, they'll start taking in it bulk.

Trump and Elon split the workload. Elon took "Move things" while Trump took "Breakfast." The conjunction was lost in the shuffle.

Non-Twitter-er here. I keep seeing this. The datestamp is from 2018. What am I missing that is making it relevant to this week??

Both Twitter and Truth Social are losing money hand over fist. I give it <6 months before either/both of them are declared as necessary gov't communication assets to the American people and given federal $$$ to cover their operating losses.

*US agrees to give huge portions of Ukraine to Russia* *Ukraine continues fighting back* US: "This violates the contract you made." Ukraine: "We never agreed to this!" US: "If you won't abide by your contract, we're going to have to stop supporting you and send supplies to Russia instead."

I'd cynically joke that they can't get a believable enough set to post out of their AI image generators, but at this point they could post receipts written in orange crayon and most of the right wing media would repost it as irrefutable fact.

Damn, after all that work "balancing" the budget, too. Now they'll have to cut even more programs so they can pay farmers to send their crops straight to landfills. Can't wait to see what is decreed as waste/fraud/abuse next. FEMA? IRS? Awarding gov't contracts to anyone but the lowest bidder?
comment in response to post
Maybe they can go work for the federal gov't instead. I hear there's about to be a lot of openings for highly loyal, highly motivated workers. Prior experience in being told exactly what to do and doing it on repeat is probably a plus.

My guess: There's a impasse brewing -Farmers wanted the THREAT of deportation available to keep illegals on a leash -MAGA just wants illegals gone because that's what they were told would MAGA -The wealthy want privatized prisons to detain and lease illegals back to farms to expedite consolidation

"I am very concerned" stated Sen. Collins as the bladed pendulum swung ever closer to her torso. When pressed for further comment, she stated she sternly told the lever she pulls at the height of each swing to stop lowering the pendulum by another inch.

Agree that even if he does comply, it's mostly a pyrrhic victory at this point. If those laptops touched the internet after connecting to govt servers, ALL of that data should be assumed to have been sent to places where it will never be deleted. It only serves to put Musk in any sort of check.

It's funny, isn't it? The rich love the courts when they can weaponize them against the poor, who can't afford to fight protracted legal battles and forced to fold. Now that they're a hinderance? Vastly overstepping their authority. Justice is blind, they don't want that kind of DEI anymore.
