A lot of people don’t have an extra 1k in their bank account. I would have to buy Tesla stock in order to short it. Even if it did lower the price a lot of people would be buying on the dip. I think Tesla is on a downward trajectory so “shorting” could be difficult and risky.

Wife and I didn’t spend a penny on the 28 and we didn’t pre-spend leading up to it. I’m not sure how much we would’ve spent but it is a way of showing solidarity.
