Dry-rubbed and smoked brontosaurus ribs a la the flinstones sounds awesome, but everyone sleeps on seafood. What does a coelacanth taste like? What about a plesiosaur en papillote?

I dunno, “press corpse” seems accurate enough

My personal experience is that a lot of Zionist (esp. Zionist orthodox) Jews are willing to be a part of this; they post things like “chuck schumer is a Shanda for not calling to nuke the Gaza Strip”

Remember how Gore was boring and liked earth tones and so now everything is awful?

Good thing no one needs to learn about the *checks notes* fourth most spoken language on earth or *checks notes again* the most geopolitically unstable region on earth.

Like, I’m a teacher and if I were to complain that kids are assholes to me the (deserved) response would be to find another job. Not because kids *should* be assholes, but because they just are.

Henne over Tebow in the Citrus Bowl was the best part of the season for me.

I’m not saying the ACA is ideal or even the best that could’ve been done at the time but to say that it’s been nothing but a giveaway to insurance companies is just some bullshit leftier-than-thou posturing by people who don’t actually care about the human outcomes of politics.

I should clarify I mean at, like, busy four-way stops and such. Or when I’m stopped and they blow through on cross. When it’s used more like a yield it’s fine.

I don’t mind that as much as the near-ubiquitous “I’m on a bike so I don’t have to actually stop at the stop sign”

I grew up in MoCo and having lived all over the country (at least east of the Mississippi) Maryland flags are the bomb dot com.

Not for nothing but of the five people three are Jewish and a fourth sounds Jewish. Coincidence I’m sure.

100%. I’m Jewish. My new teacher orientation in Memphis was at a conservative Baptist church and started with a very Baptist prayer and the level of give-a-shit about how that made me feel was through the floor.

It’s a Nazi salute. We can all see it’s a Nazi salute. Call it what it is.

This reminds me of how some people think “well, they can’t be bad people because they love their kids” despite all evidence that they are in fact shitty people and loving your kids is like some bare minimum requirement for being human.
Elon can’t even get that far.

This is honestly one of the great “I used to be a leftist but” explanations. Please flesh this out.

Sort of, but it depends on the kind of orthodox. The ultra Zionist orthodox (eg modern orthodox) vote republican because of Israel and little else- anyone who promises to rid the world of Palestinians is inherently good. The orthodox who equate Zionism with idolatry have different motivations.

Like, there is such a thing as contempt of court and law enforcement can arrest you for not complying with a court order. Whether that will happen is a related but entirely different question. That’s the courts’ divisions!

I’m Jewish and yeah, sort of. But my point is more that there’s no relevance to the story (it’s not like homophily is part of this) so the only thing this does is reinforce one or more stereotypes (Jewish = neurotic, or wealthy, or “connected” etc)

What the fuck does “Jew” have to do with any of this?!

I hope you’re right, but I think a large number of people on that side in a position to negotiate are somewhere from cool with to actively for watching shit burn.

Then where’s the statement that says “oh no, not my intent but I see how that might look bad”? The only reason not to do that is if you mean it and/or don’t want to offend Nazis.

$600/mo ($1800 split among roommates) for a 3-bedroom in Chicago. It was a ten or so minute walk to a college campus, so rent was inflated.

I think part of this mindset is people buying that one ingredient for a recipe that they may never use again and costs $15 rather than learning how to cook with variety using pantry staples.
