Once again this morning, with CBC radio one’s special coverage of Trumps tariffs and Canada’s response showed me how important having a National broadcaster is! Please help ensure that PP never gets anywhere near the PM office and our CBC!

"its pretty clear that Trudeau was never the problem." It was PP and the Propagandists, playing their tunes to the mapleMagas. Time, Trump and truth have exposed Poilievre for who and what he is.

Dude, who's under investigation by the Alberta law society, and has allegedly made death threats, is gong to DC to talk treason weasel surrender shit despite have fuck all authority over anything. And this is what rural Alberta is up against.

And fwiw, every immigrant owned, family run restaurant in the country is a better place to eat at than a US owned fast food joint.

Not a serious country. It's like the WWE took over U.S. foreign policy.

Just for that, Mr. Trudeau, I’m going to shoot My Fellow Americans in their other foot.

Idea for whoever is in charge of planning 🇨🇦Canada Day🇨🇦 celebrations across the country this year: Call all Canadian🇨🇦 bands home for a cross-Canada concert for the ages. Summer of ‘69? How about Summer of ‘25! Bring it. #ElbowsUp #PartyOnWayne #PartyOnGarth

Krugman nails it. “…efforts to find some kind of economic justification for Trump’s Canada-hatred have the feeling of desperate efforts…” open.substack.com/pub/paulkrug...

Gotta say, it sure feels good to wake up and work for a proud Canadian owned company who’ve been supporting my East coast content production for over a decade. Keep clicking those 🇨🇦links!

Not to like toot my own horn but *every time* I bring up tariffs on the radio I define them: "tariffs are taxes American businesses pay to import goods from abroad." Given all the lies and the fact that many Americans didn't take international economics 101, I encourage others to do this as well.

I wonder if America realizes that trust in America won't be rebuilt just by voting for a president with a different approach, if the threat of the current kind of president being elected is always looming.

In case you missed it. youtu.be/wz_42pckM7w?...

Like Europe, Canada needs to learn to think the unimaginable, and craft our plan accordingly. The more the "trade war" escalates and the US economy suffers, the more such previously unimaginable scenarios are within the realm of possibility. www.youtube.com/watch?v=97iI...

Nailed it.

word

Americans choose most expensive way possible to discover what goods made in Canada

Hiring someone to investigate yourself based on the information only you provide, them telling them how they can investigate, and requiring them to report back to you so you can think about it for a month is NOT transparency. Public inquiry, NOW, Premier.

A brilliant Banksy.

Hey folks! Looks like when we had to deactivate our youtube channel it also purged our subscriptions... So... Like and subscribe? #abpoli #ableg #cdnpoli

A year ago, I tried to place this oped in major Canadian newspapers, and it was challenging because at the time many editors thought the authors were “fear mongering.” Sadly, they were not. They were prescient. #ArmedForces quoimedia.com/canadas-heal...

Zod damn it. I have no particular love (or hate) for JT. But this brought a little tear to my eye.

So "health entities" will sign leases with Alberta Infrastructure "free of charge". But I'm betting that these won't be one page leases. They'll be full of all sorts of terms and conditions & a net increase in red tape! Also betting that we won't get to see them. #ableg #abpoli

In Portugal we are ordering Canadiano coffees and servers know exactly what we mean. 🇨🇦 ☕

In 2018, CBC started Beyond 94, a program tracking the progress of the goals set out by the Truth and Reconciliation Commission. The CBC covers issue other media won't cover - and we would be weaker as a nation without it. We need to fight to protect our national broadcaster, now more than ever.

A "Conga line of Trump's sycophants shows us what weakness look like." The Aussies call it! 👍👇💯

The summit in London has begun. European and NATO leaders have gathered to discuss the future of humanity and Ukraine, without the United States. This is the largest reconfiguration of nations since World War 2.

Great job “Just a Canadian.” MAGA Man: Canada ain’t your 51st state. youtu.be/feQN4Uc_BVo?...

Angle parking. You’re doing it wrong. Hope no wheelchairs users from nearby seniors’ residence try to make their way through here today.

People in Canada: what is the impact of the new Trump administration on you so far? We’d like to hear from Canadians about any plans you have made or changed because of the US president’s stance towards the country www.theguardian.com/world/2025/f...

"We should have core values, and being against corruption should be one of those, right?" These aren't my words, they belong to a (former) UCP Cabinet Minister. The call is coming from inside the house, but the Premier refuses to pick up the phone. Visit CorruptCare.ca to learn more. #CorruptCare

I'm sharing an image a day to celebrate the vibrant and unique culture and history of Canada. Today, it is the World's Largest Pysanka in Vegreville, flanked by RCMP Officers. #ProudlyCanadian 📸Ernie's Photo Studio

What Ukraine need are politicians that *always* stand with them -Not just when it is politically convenient.

This is Winston Churchill visiting Washington DC to request assistance in the war against Germany. Notice he is wearing a "zip suit" and not a traditional suit. This was to honor the British troops--the same reason Zelensky dresses the way he does.

Again, Jews were less than 1% of the German population in 1933.

Pretty much sums it up

Not sure why this post from @bencollins.bsky.social is still making me so angry, a day later. He’s an outspoken Trump critic. But maybe that’s WHY it’s so infuriating - because it represents how out of touch Americans truly are. Hint? We were “lost” the moment your government vowed to annex us.

Even has an Albertan quoted in this article

american masculinity is so amazing. caring about clothes as a man apparently makes you "gay" but our position on geopolitics totally depends on whether you wear a suit

Selection of German headlines this morning: “It’s now the law of the jungle” “The former leading power of the West can no longer be relied upon.” “Now it's up to the Europeans” “The worst case is now the new normal” “The free world needs a new leader”

This is what it’s like to watch democracy die. What an appalling display yesterday as Zelenskyy was surrounded by that pack of wolves in the Oval Office.
