Judith Butler: "Once you decide that a single vulnerable minority can be sacrificed, you’re operating within a fascist logic, because that means there might be a second one you’re willing to sacrifice, and a third, a fourth, and then what happens?"

The only thing that makes me happy is the Great Pottery Throwdown

Thursday! What a concept!

I can’t believe how tone deaf and transphobic you have to be to brag about something that denies lifesaving healthcare to literal children.

Seeing people criticising trans people for pointing out the guardian's persistent and systematic transphobia during the strike means that's enough social media for the day. You can't demand solidarity from the people you subject to violence on a regular basis.

That a right-wing lawyer just suggested before the Supreme Court that Americans don't have a right to not conform is... a real mask-off moment in a way I suspect is not going to get enough attention.

On the history of cross dressing bans, see @kredburn.bsky.social. This argument is why we need more transgender legal history.

I have no hope for this Supreme Court case but I do have a ton of respect for Chase and every other crossdressing individual in that room looking those justices in the face

Morning is Marco’s time to flop in the sun like a towel on a hanger

Nearly half of US states grant law enforcement access to testosterone prescription data within Prescription Drug Monitoring Programs (PDMPs) without warrant or subpoena. https://ja.ma/4eVwQvk

I am absolutely crawling to the start of my tiny Thanksgiving vacation tomorrow

What a work of art

Transphobia isn’t a distraction. It’s an attack on one of the most vulnerable populations and a reinforcement of biological essentialism, a pillar of patriarchal control that trans identity rightfully threatens

too many cis people have internalized the past decade of transphobia about how if they make a single minor mistake towards a trans person we'll go supernova meanwhile most trans people i know are hesitant to correct anyone on anything because they don't want to make a thing out of it.

Please see my largest cat who’s taken to basking in this East-facing window like this.

The Road to 270 is the worst road I’ve been on

I wrote a whole book about how child abuse creates authoritarians and boosts autocracy and they just... tweeted it out

After months of research and painstakingly connecting the threads of transmisogyny theory, queer activism, and field-wide epistemic injustice, I would like to present "The Third Sex": my treatise on a third-world transfeminism. Read: tinyurl.com/59kzm98k

This is a great example of why “transmisogyny” matters as a distinction, and is also a demonstration of Kimberlé Crenshaw’s intersectionality analysis inaction. The two concepts reflect the same intuition.

Giving some people benefits they don’t need is cheaper than making people prove they need it.

I’m about to be in the woods where there is no cell service this weekend and I am so excited to pretend the rest of the world doesn’t exist for a brief moment

It's a zealous reification of the entire conservative ethos: children as property of the father, queerness as depriving society of reproductive resources, reduction of an individual's worth to their reproductive capacity, and violent enforcement of the heterosexual regime via regulating sex itself.

The reality is that trans people in sports is such a nontroversy that the transphobes had to make up fake trans people to harass.

This video is by far the best discussion I've seen about the horrific bullying campaign against Imane Khelif, a boxer who was "transvestigated" by monsters like JK Rowling, JD Vance and Elon Musk. They drive home a point everyone needs to get: No one is safe. www.youtube.com/watch?v=yicz...
