Is the assumption that the auditor general's report will be useless?

So to recap:
Driving car to MRU is more expensive.
Driving car to MRU is bad for the environment.
Hard to sympathize with the student featured in the CBC story

Is public transit, walking or biking so bad that students must drive to Mount Royal university?
Car ownership/insurance/gasoline/maintenance/parking .... how is that the most cost effective way to get to classes?

Yes.
He's a true short-term rental.
Hence he would fetch a modest return for the Habs at the trade deadline.
Might as well keep him to play out the season. He could help MTL achieve a Cinderella finish.

Savard has done a great job for Habs: blocked shots, physical play, cup winner's mentoring, all-around good guy.
BUT years have caught up to him.
His slowness is now a big enough problem that it outweighs all those qualities. Even at minimum salary, MTL has better options for 2025-2026.

Calgary bike tracks connected?
5 St (from 3 Ave SW to 17 Ave SW./)
12 Ave (from 11 St SW to 4 St. SE)
8 Ave / 9 Ave (from 11 St SW to 3 St SW & Macleod Trail to 4 St SE)
7 St SW (from Bow River Pathway to alley between 8 & 9 Ave SW)
Edmonton Trail (west side from Memorial Drive to 2 Ave NE)

Understood, but nonetheless Savard (IMO) is the lowest priority in terms of needs for the upcoming season.
Assuming Guhle comes back strong, Reinbacher and/or Mailloux (maybe even Engstrom) can graduate to NHL...

Especially true given the UCP government of Alberta is extracting a larger share of municipal taxes from cities while dumping a larger share of expenditures on them.
All the while, menacing to remove city councils that oppose this: Ric McIver's version of the 51st State threat.

Ironically Savard is they least useful of these pending UFAs.

All this stuff needs to approved by Nancy Southern.

Like Albertans can afford to open up another healthcare front...

As long as Albertans vote for the party that promises them the lowest taxes possible and believe that folks other than members of the UCP are elitists/communists out to destroy their province....
This will continue.

What happened to the City of Calgary's initiative to introduce sound "camera" monitoring ?
Agree: Memorial Dr speed limits shoots up to 70 km/hr for stretches in West Hillhurst & in Bridge land. That attracts noise & car crashes.

All gvnt revenues should go to a common $ pool in order to optimize spending.
Limiting $ to little buckets doesn't work and is prone to conflicts of interest.
Case in point: Alberta Energy Regulator.

Isn't the Auditor General already investigating?
Will that report be made public?

How did org with no Board of Directors like Alberta Off Highway Vehicle Association come to be the "provincially recognized voice of off-highway vehicle trail users throughout Alberta"?

All gvnt revs should go into a general pool in order to optimize public funds usage.
Look to sale of endangered species hunting permits to Americans supposedly to fund Albertan conservation initiatives as case study in conflict. Funds go to AB Outfitters Association!
Yeah, no conflict there.

Savard was always slow but compensated with craftyness. Over past month he got even slower, but not craftyer.
Trade Savard? Maybe, but realistically Habs won't get more than 3rd round pick for him.
He's a good teammate & mentor, but his playing days are nearing end.

No hate intended.
Just observing that Struble is struggling to defend at NHL level/pace + Dach also hurting team.
Slaf giveaways might drop off against 3 line competition. He also drags down Suzuki & Caufield.
Nothing personal. But at some point (now?) results matter.

IMO Savard has not been playing well.
Maybe time to give up on Stubble and even Dach.
Slaf needs to be dropped to 3rd line.
