Bernie refused to sell out and dems interrupted that as “not playing nice”. I get it - when one sells their soul to corporate greed and war mongering, I can see how Bernie would be a hard mirror to look into.

The US has plenty of weapons to share. Perhaps we could stop supplying Israel with billions of dollars in weapons and send some a portion of it to Ukraine instead. There’s a lot we can do without making additional investments in weapons companies that US politicians own stock in.

I hear you and right now we’re both sharing opinions. I don’t have all the answers. But let me be clear, I think the US should continue to support Ukraine. It’s very important. AND I’m beyond sick of paying for bombs and jets that kill lots of innocent civilians. It’s enough.

And I certainly don’t just mean financially.

My whole point is that we ALL pay a very big price when we continue to expand our investment into the military industrial complex.

I see that you’re Canadian (which is great) and that the spending you’re advocating for isn’t something you’d be personally paying for.

p.s. The US also uses illegal weapons on innocent civilians so righteousness might not be the best tone.

That perspective makes sense to me. And don’t you think the US has invested enough in munitions? Isn’t it legitimate for citizens to demand that our county stop taking our tax money for weapons manufacturing and started using it to rebuild our very outdated infrastructure?
comment in response to post
But aren’t they just being invested back into weapons manufacturing that contributes to the US military industrial complex increasing our overall warmongering? Cause if so, no I do not think that’s good for the United States.

That’s not what the numbers say. Kamala did not lose bc of Green Party votes. She lost bc of the number of people who sat out. Look at the research.

😆 I feel like the passion in that death grip also translates to your hugs. 🤗 I was trying to remember the name and can’t - started searching and now I’m aching for some Burlington food.

The dems ARE NOT going to save us. If that were even remotely possible, our reality would be very different right now. Both parties have sold their souls to corporate interest - there are no more representatives for US citizens.
