The 2026 Subaru Outback is ... a crossover.
• No more Legacy-based wagon
• 2 inches taller
• Modified WRX steering system
Love it or hate it?

(Looked at rav4s and love toyota, but had worse visibility and much worse pricing)
In fact the extra height of the Forester might have let us fit some patio chairs we ended up needing to lash to the roof.
But then here in the US we also have the Ascent so I don't know.
I’ve had a 2010 and a 2017 Outback and loved them, but Subaru needs to be more forward-looking.
Absolutely no regrets.
Otherwise I don't really care. Seems a bit too blocky from photos but probably fine.

the guy at the dealership selected it for me as it was the sportiest of what they had on offer, which i appreciated.
not a bad vehicle at all, i just much prefer mine and am still mad at subaru for discontinuing it.
Like, fuck off, then fuck off some more, and don't stop fucking off.
Smaller cars now.
Why even have the Forrester line anymore?
A Pontiac Aztek that fell into RFKjrs steroid stash.
Would be a shame if people started firebombing these too.
*several sedans.
In one specific case, I got clipped by an Uber driver while waiting outside my house for…an Uber driver. (I was sober for that one, and it hurt the most.)
They were the perfect family car.
There's literally no good options anymore.
(Actually, just saw the Subaru Trailseeker. It looks more like a Wagon than the Outback does. Maybe they'll make a Wagon Legacy)
-Way too large
-Way too heavy
-Still gas? Shame
-No alt text? Shame on you.
Why mess with something beloved?
