Britain, a trading nation, now has a vital choice to make about its priority trading partners:
- the EU, where agreements are made, kept, reciprocal, based on international norms, & enforced by a court
- the USA, where agreements are made, broken, changed & broken again at a whim, with no recourse

Brexit is so ridiculous that it's unfathomable.
Our NHS & Defence are under massive threats.
We must move away from #America and far more towards the #EuropeanUnion
We don’t want that stuff here when our own farmers will be disadvantaged because of our better laws.
How can anyone consider closer ties with Trump's (or Vance's) US?
They may make an agreement but they won't keep it.
We are European.
The rise of the Empire post Waterloo shifted our interest from Europe, but, thank God, imperialism is dead & we must realign with Europe.
and they can both the usa and uk pay ten times what other nations do
1000% SURCHARGE to trade to usa
or UK
For Starker , read Starmer , sorry 😢
But if he chooses the Americans, then Farage will have been appeased, and Reform will most likely win in 2029.
No new deals and maybe a suspension of those already in place.
But if they do that, Britain is a part of that already.
We’ll call once we get rid of this tumor.
Government in charge is deciding to go cap in hand to US.
Don’t want that deal. Will screw us over. But my MP won’t listen & Starmer & Reeves won’t listen to the people of this country.
People of the UK are not represented only those with money to lobby are!
They are now just as right-wing as the Tories.
Westminster is a den of corruption. You can guarantee there will be benefits to individual labour front benchers.
They are a daily advert...
I should not be the person defending migrant rights against Labour voters because it makes no sense and is topsy-turvy.
You need to start from basics.
VONC on Starmer.
Elect someone with european values.
The weird sect that seems to have an iron grip on the party does not reflect my views in any way at all.
I am not unique.
I understand the need for diplomacy, but our future has to be back with the EU.
then gets on plane ride like epstein riders used to get shown the blackmail and then bends over does what us govt tells them too
sound familiar
epstein did that
that will gut LNG and crit minerals
no more being fuckin nice whats the usa going to sell the uk
WOODEN ROW BOATS
But with the UKG, we're looking at a level of blind, craven boneheaded stupidity that goes well beyond breathtaking.
It's as plain as the nose on your face that is the case.
But, hey, why let facts get in the way of a good rant?

They would be happy to sacrifice their own families, so entrenched is their hatred.
They aren't bothered about facts, see how eager they are to vote Reform; destroying their own families again, with the only Reform policy being NHS!
Please can you repost this? It might become the solution to everything?

Not only are US food standards lower than the UK's, but Trump's FDA just ended routine food safety inspections. Chlorinated chicken may be the least of your worries - how about chicken salmonella, or worse?
Don't do it.
Trump smashes ming vase on the way out of the door.
Then deports imaginary trade deal to El Salavdore.
The usa just fucks everyone over on a whim.
Fuck the usa.

Why does Britain not like itself? One would think that people learn, but sadly they do not.
So, if Britain shoots itself in the other foot, how long can it still stand and walk by itself?
.
Once Scotland is free
England will find itself broke. with 3 trillion in debt and 0 assets to sell.
😹
Unlike the UK we🇨🇦 are stable and dependable. So Canada with the UK as a Province would definitely get accepted into the EU.
That Britain?
It's not enough to buy goods for cash, there needs to be an equal sale of goods and services.
To have any hope of clearing that deficit, the UK cannot simply sign trade agreements which are on the same terms as before.
Also when you add services the trade with the EU is far more balanced. The rest is due to the UK not making enough things that people want to buy.
That is not going to change by sucking up to a fascist US regime.
Being a pariah in Europe will also not prove profitable.
Choosing to work with a fascist US regime…will mark the UK for decades to come.
But for that matter, we've traded with many unsavoury regimes in the past (and still do). Niceness of leaders isn't a condition for sucessful trade.
I don’t see why Starmer isn’t honest about this and doesn’t condone the lies that led us to self harm in leaving the EU
Trying to rebuild relationships with the EU is seen as a step to the left. Working with a fascist regime is not, so their choice is clear.
That is his major problem.
The claim for more honesty in politics is at direct odds with his failure to be honest about Brexit.
He wants growth which a closer relationship would give us, but won’t do it, it make no sense.
I think Donald will force UK to choose but can understand why Starmer is triying to find an exit.
If UK buys american beef this beef doesnt follow UE regulations. If that happens UE will cut UK beef imports (because it could be american beef).
USA is pressing UE to loosen its regulations and open the market to american products but UE goberments and consumers are very reluctant.
If the regulations stay in place UK wil have to choose.
I’d sooner have closer ties to China.
Have nothing more to do with them.
So the choice isn’t just between the US and the EU.
It’s the EU without Starmer, or Trump because of Starmer.
We don’t need them obstructing everything from the inside (another Hungary). Trade wise the EU can deal with the UK via the TCA (it favours the EU anyway).
plus the british economy is on the verge of collapse. Truss's run on UKG bonds was a warning.
No arguments though, only insults. Not exactly uncommon.
It's not like that was the first set of proposed tax cuts funded by borrowing that a UKG has pushed forth, just the ones breaking the camel's back.
Where this could end up is all Ireland & 🏴 in EU. 🏴?
Have a great evening.
VDL begs to differ :-)
thats what trump does btw
epstein taught em everything
get on a plane ride then change to be suddenly pro USA
it means trumps got shit on starmer
Being as this is rapidly descending into a choice between democracy and fascism.
Joking apart , should be a no-brainer but Starmer seems to be chasing the same golden post -Brexit unicorn that obsessed the Tories : a US trade deal
The "special relationship" is really a special sinking ship.
Starmer won the election thanks to GTTO sentiment but lacks the charisma, imagination or presentational skills to lead the country to a better place.
Worrying times.
I want to see integrity, commitment, strong will, and courage. And a capacity for thinking straight.
At the moment his Brexit red lines and anti-business policies are delivering recession rather than growth.
Future Farage as PM
OR
INDEPENDENCE
Are you yes Now
The fawning, grovelling supplication Starmer displayed in the White House makes me sick to the pit of my stomach
But no, HOWEVER, this is a great "I told you so" moment.
No one can see the future, but UK shot itself in both feet.
Meanwhile MAGA is not the only game view👇
