it’s basically impossible to use Twitter to follow the situation in Palestine. it used to be that key word searches would show you at least a few reliable outlets covering a story. now even a basic search brings up a ton of noise - bots and random users spouting nonsense

it’s true that bluesky is not yet the place where news breaks, but I also think Twitter is no longer the place where news breaks. the blue check situation has made it basically impossible to follow developing news.

I haven't used legacy media for news in maybe a decade? Feels so out-of-date and clunky.
Genuinely sucks how what used to be a decent source for news is just absolute garbage now.
