This is the shot of the night.
Chuck Schumer is filing cloture on several judicial nominations. The Republicans are forcing them to go into executive session separately for each nomination. Schumer and the Democrats are just pushing ahead. Here was Schumer before the 10th vote, by my count, began.

Damn!! What a hero!!
As of today the Senate has confirmed 216 Article III judges: one SCOTUS justice, 45 judges for the courts of appeals, 168 judges for district courts and 2 judges for the US Court of Int Trade.
So they'll stay up all night. Several nights. Get that shit done.
Losing a bit of sleep is nothing
Also 🤜🤛 to Sen. Patti Murray (left background in the first pic), who visited us Nevada campaign volunteers one cold day before the election (below).

Bastards.
Obviously to get to be Senator you need to be very good at something (exception in the making = Lara Trump R-FL), but most of them are people of mediocre fiber — like most of us.
What they don’t have in stock, we can supply, a spoonful at a time!
We need to be emailing or calling their offices so they know we mean business. Don't let them slack off.

Just in case you wondered who GOP thought was going to lose that election.
Eileen Cannon was confirmed AFTER Trump lost.

Hang in!
It’s another sad commentary on which party really wants to govern and which lacks a shred of integrity.
Never.
They're passing on party-line votes, but the Republicans are literally just forcing them to take hours on this.
🍊🤡 I’m sure plenty of them are rooting for us.
The senate must get this done no matter what
2. Why weren't these seats filled months ago?
3. Can't they change the rules to make it faster?
We all know republicans would play procedural games. But it’s Schumer’s fault he wasn’t forcing these votes the entire time Ds had the majority.
The year not in DC
b) Recess appointments are only good until the end of that session of congress, so the appointments would only last until January 3rd.

Now do the DC Superior Court and Court of Appeals judges the Senate must approve since 700K DC residents are denied statehood and voting rights!
Trump will otherwise appoint his own picks!
