Please help me make a Very Important Decision. If you were a dinner guest, would you prefer a French chocolate tart, described as a more chocolatey pot de crème, or a chocolate caramel tart?

He’ll, with my friends if I get utensils and a real plate I’m happy. Can’t imagine desert that doesn’t come with a plastic cover pre packed on it from the grocery store. You’re too fancy for me!!
Depends on the complexity of the rest of dinner. The tart is easier and more simple. The caramel is more complex. If dinner was rich, go light, if light, go rich. Balance. Oh, and van ice cream
Important question! Persian food involving eggplant, yellow lentils, tomatoes, spinach, prunes, chicken, beef, and rice (not all together—separate dishes)
The pot de crème, please. You can find chocolate caramel things. Pots de crème, though, are luxury. You don't have to worry about the chocolate being oppressively dark. You may not be able to finish (without effort and guilt). Chocolate caramel things are akin to Rolo candies.
I’d go out of the lines and say a classic pot de creme with salt and a drizzle of dulce de leche. That would split your gap. If you have a sous vide I can send you a recipe
I might be convinced to make the again for a party. You can make the a day ahead and keep in refrigerator. Need ramkins to cook in and a pan big enough for them to sit in the water bath in the oven. Pretty easy recipe
If your dinner guest is more sophisticated and refined and you are trying to make an impression then the french chocolate tart would be best, but the chocolate caramel tart is perhaps the more populist choice. you really cannot go wrong with a tart arghavan salles, just go with what is in your heart

Maybe a fruit dessert or a crème brûlée.
French chocolate tart
Chocolate caramel tart
And by yes, 2 of each please? 🙏
I like straight chocolate.
Either.
Also very few people say pot de creme correctly.
White wine the creme.
Red wine the caramel.
But it looks more like a ganache than a pots de creme to me.
