There are a bunch of “that’s what they voted for” in the comments and I am once again reminding you that kids did not vote for anything. Kids cannot help having dipshit parents, and kids will be the ones suffering. I understand that excising empathy feels better but come ON, y’all.

They WERE those kids and they still can't not be dicks about it

Vaccines used to come to schools, I doubt they do anymore. This is systemic.
Their parent probably was vaccinated, since they were born before anti vax garbage, even if they grew up to be an anti vaxxer.

the measles offen give birth to deaf children
But if you kill 3 people with Listeria, FAFO.
I love it when the trash takes itself out...
Some of the more ghoulish leaders I feel less sympathy for
I think we need to start giving tangible consequences to parents who engage in medical neglect.
Her mother was never repentant for it either. 🤬
Like 4 out of 5 folks are doing the right thing and we're still getting hosed.
That said…
IMHO the adults who are responsible for these kids and voted for this hot garbage knew EXACTLY what they were voting for (or were gleefully ignorant) /1
It’s all hubris and mind numbingly cruel. /end
It is so sad that all kids will suffer because half the adults in this country are science deniers.
The non-vaccers need to be shamed (imo). They probably don't know what herd immunity is yes, but that's the quickest way to get them to fall in line.
Whatever happens, the kids lose and that sucks.
And also, there are people who can't get vaccinated for medical reasons, or for whom the vaccines don't work, and the anti-vaxxer lies put those people at risk.
And they normalized rhetoric, including stuff that harms me… and blamed it on dems.
I know that's hard. I can't say I don't struggle with it myself. But everyone has a con man that has their number. Be thankful you havnt met him yet, and just love one another.
It is hard to not want them to reap what they sow
Oh you only scratched the surface, Rorschach was an unhinged sociopath.
I’m sure there were better quotes, likely “I never thought the face-eating Leopards would eat MY face”.
🙏 thanks, seriously.

Rural areas traditionally have a harder time dealing with these outbreaks which also hurts others going to the hospital for unrelated issues. Not good.
