I jest, obvs, but the Threads bosses did say very early on that they didn’t want it to be a place for news and politics, and even though they’ve since walked that back it’s a pretty clear signal.
While we have feeds like that, you choose to use them and the main following feed is easy enough to understand and feel like you're actually following conversations
Like if you wanna see a couple mildly funny social media managers chatting at each other from behind logos for RyanAir and Arby’s, go for it
I would say half the posts I see are influencers just trying to increase their followers with engagement bait.
In addition, people seemed to be getting banned for no reason.
I'm on X and not leaving but I also use Threads. It's wild. I think people are super reactionary and just following the herd. #ThinkForYourself
I've never liked the Zuck, but he seems way likeable than the other guy at the moment.
I think it comes down to this platform pretty much being good old Twitter, without 10.000 russian bots

I still don't understand how in the users chart you can have change in weekly users higher than change in daily users count for multiple days.
If these trends continue into 2025, and I hope they do, that $15 billion valuation will seem generous. 😀
