I read he was born in Illinois. But still, living in Moscow. I haven’t checked to see how long he has lived there though - if he only moved shortly before he ran for office sure. But if he moved there 20 years ago I wouldn’t describe him as a carpetbagger. An awful person yes, but carpetbagger no.
Right wing jackass ran for city council here about 10 years ago, lost and moved to Idaho where he ran for office and lost and now he is apparently in Florida.
I am sure he is eager to put on the brown shirt for DeSantis.
Whatever he is, maybe he's the one who needs to "go back where he came from." What a prick. I can't imagine how shameful and embarrassing it must be to have a bigoted fool like that representing you in your state legislature. I feel sorry for whoever put him there.
“Indigenous people, including the Nez Perce tribe, have lived in the Columbia River Basin for thousands of years. Foreman was born in Lake Forest, Illinois.” The author of the article is awesome. What an ending!🤣
“Indigenous people, including the Nez Perce tribe, have lived in the Columbia River Basin for thousands of years. Foreman was born in Lake Forest, Illinois.”
The best part of the article is the punchline at the end: "Indigenous people, including the Nez Perce tribe, have lived in the Columbia River Basin for thousands of years. Foreman was born in Lake Forest, Illinois."
Where do you even begin to try to start educating people like Foreman? Should you start with blocks? Maybe a jungle gym? Can it even be done? Has it ever been attempted? Who has some clinical data on this sort of thing?
Oh, were her ancestors forcibly relocated from their ancestral lands to a reservation by the US government and he was signaling his support for land back?
it's not ignorance, it's white supremacy. I don't think it would have mattered one iota if he knew she was native; the statement was meant to convey "I will always have power over you" more than anything.
That’s rich of the stoooopid White Dude. He probably lives on a First Nation’s ancestral territory🤣
*rolls eyes*
I know my home sits on Kihz Nation’s ancestral territory.
I mean, we've got a neighbor with one of the maga signs saying 'take back America', and I want to ask them if they're sanctioning native Americans sending European descendants back to Europe.
This man is still angry about shit that happened in junior high. You can spot them like they're wearing neon sandwich board signs and waving day-glo traffic flags.
Six years ago, Sen. Foreman yelled at some university students for criticizing his opposition to Planned Parenthood. Apparently he has a habit of going off on people, usually cussing while he does it. https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=tJMnfHANdqA
“Indigenous people, including the Nez Perce tribe, have lived in the Columbia River Basin for thousands of years. Foreman was born in Lake Forest, Illinois.”
If you are from the Chicagoland area, nothing says 'white privilege' quite like Lake Forest.
'Indigenous people, including the Nez Perce tribe, have lived in the Columbia River Basin for thousands of years. Foreman was born in Lake Forest, Illinois.'
Idaho GOP is utterly batshit, possibly the most extreme state GOP in the country (makes sense given the history of militias, Neo-Nazis, etc.). Their previous lieutenant governor spoke at a Nick Fuentes conference!
If y'all think WAGOP has held out and resisted the utter flakieness of our neighbors, Dan Evans is dead, Lorne Culp is alive, and the Culpites/ now Reichertinas think they'll take the state this year.
Anne Richardson’s departure was the final moment of Texas governing grace for the modern age, but I am convinced we will see a return to sense in that place once the goplins are good n’ routed this time around.
I loved her so much - just a salty lady who didn’t suffer fools gladly
I hope you are right!
I fervently wish that something would break Abbott’s/ Paxton’s GOP hold on Texas - I donated to Allred tonight in the hopes he might be the first crack in the wall (maybe a long shot but fingers crossed !)
There's been a years-long effort by some people in eastern Oregon to secede and join Idaho. It's not a realistic plan (it would need both state legislatures and Congress to agree) but it does get the crazies exercised. I'm assuming there's some contact between the organizers in OR and folks in ID.
Well, you see, there’s only a couple counties’ overlap between Greater Idaho and Jefferson, because the latter was focused on splitting off SW Oregon to join up with N California, not E Oregon.
I’m sure there are subgroups trying to get Idaho to the Pacific by merging the Greater Idaho and Jefferson proposals, but that just makes it even less likely.
Would assume so (not nec state GOP - though I know ID’s has some ties - but Ammon Bundy has lived in and done things in both states, for instance), can’t think of anything off the top of my head. Paging @sethcotlar.bsky.social, he’s an expert on the ORGOP particularly.
He has done such interesting meticulous historical research into the Oregon GOP- and it’s great that it isn’t combined to rarified academia but posted in Bsky
She is where she came from. This is the maximum amount of where she came from. I live in Eastern Washington. I should have to get the fuck out of where she came from
Had this guy not been a huge fucking baby, she might have had a chance to "murder" this guy in public and end his campaign right there with something like "sir, I am Native to this continent; your people came here 200 years ago."

Good thing racism and discrimination don't actually exist, or else this would have been INCREDIBLY racist!

I know someone who’s been repeatedly asked if he’s here in the U.S. legally—*after* stating he’s from Puerto Rico.
