The biggest lie you can tell yourself is "I'll remember."
No. You won't.
Write down/add metadata about who/what/where/when. Put a year on EVERYTHING.
Now is a great time to group project this with family!

Embarrassed that in a couple of pics, I'm not sure which kid is in the shot.
And do you recommend the YYYYMMDD format for dates? I fine everything sorts right when you use that format.
Make sure to mark the notebook as "attorney client privilege".
I Remember b/c I told myself "you need to remember".
I remember A LOT!!!
Well after I was supposed to and when there’s nothing to do about it.
But I’ll remember
I found a businesses card for an oil rig engineer once in my wallet.
I work in IT. How or when I met an oil rig engineer? 🤷♂️
Write shit down. You will thank yourself later.
Me: I only remember where I left my list. I’ll read it😶
Easy to make lists. Add categories. Mark things like projects, as they progress. Mark them finished - but save everything for future reference.
Also, gently label them IN PENCIL on the back. Don’t be messing with sticky labels or sellotape or any of that nonsense that falls off after 15 years.

People and relationships change, family members often look alike. Label photographs. Save history you and your family think is important or cool
Please write on the backs of prints in pencil. Many inks fade with time or have acid that can damage the photo.
That's the devil talking, write it down.
