No. A presidential pardon does not remove the conviction or expunge the record. It merely removes the legal disabilities that come with the conviction.

They may not need to do so. A pardon doesn’t erase the crime - a felon is still a felon. All it does is terminate future punishment and restore the right to vote where it has been taken away.
