Though any given antimicrobial candidate may not become a human-usable antibiotic, so I'm cautious about drawing *that* conclusion.
But we definitely need new antibiotics so let’s hope it works out.
That’s amazing, what are the risks of bacteria developing resistance this new antibiotic though? Either way it’s really interesting and wonder how it’ll affect disease and healthcare outcomes.

This works in a bacteriostatic manner, not by inhibiting reproduction, but by miscopying its building blocks.
No wonder it wouldn't cause it to create resistance so quickly.

It's always the same. They announce the new discovery. Then it's gone.
