My big project for 2025 is that I’m going to finally solve the famous “Jack the Ripper” murders. I’ll start by travelling to London to interview the surviving witnesses, then go to the crime scenes to dust for prints.

I once woke up startled from a dream in which a new acquaintance announced to me, 'you are speaking to the last living suspect in the Thames torso murders'.
New Scotland Yard can learn so much from this enthusiastic endeavour! Keep us posted on the progress, but of course, don't spook the perpetrator - they might go into hiding!
It was walter sickert.
Anyone who says it isn't walter sickert is unaware of the fact that it was walter sickert. Walter the ripper sickert. Jack the walter sickert.
Walter sickert.
I assuming you are being sarcastic
Between the Casebook of Jack the Ripper site and the Rippercast podcast.
You can learn more on the Ripper than you ever think possible and that before you break open a book like the ones by Rumbelow or Sugden https://www.casebook.org/intro.html
I just needed a excuse to post the link to the Casebook
and to mention Rippercast and the authors /
And There been more then 17 investigations
and over 100 books
I have now followed you solely on the strength of the replies to this post. You people are hilarious and I've been chuckling on a morning where there isn't anything to laugh about otherwise.
My author is currently solving that in his latest book that he is writing, "Satan's Shopkeeper." Sure, its fictional characters, but at least the mystery will be solved, um, sorta.
Which was really awks because the best known suspect was from Brooklyn and actually spelled it Jack Da Ripper, totally threw the Met police off the scent
After failing to find surviving evidence The Boat committed a series of grisly murders, and wrote "Jack The Ripper Wuz Here" at each crime scene.
The Boat then continued their investigation and found tons of evidence and witness testimony that all pointed at the same suspect. Late pope John Paul II
Too late, Lucy Worsley has already done a look, including with crime drawings and autopsy reports. No findings as to who did it but a deeper dive into the women who were killed.
it's not well known that Jack the Ripper was actually cockney rhyming slang for "big dipper" the constellation, and these murders were an astrological event
Damn it, Officer Bluesky! You’ve gone too far this time, and now the chief is breathing down my neck! I’m taking you off the case. Hand me your badge and gun.
Favoured suspect was the royal surgeon, so you may have to break into Buckingham Palace. Watch out for the dudes in big, furry hats, they don't fuck around.
I read a book on the Ripper murder ,written in the 1920s
I got upset because the author did not go and interview the surviving witnesses who were still alive at that time
I doubt we have gotten any clues to the ripper identity but we have gotten first hand reports of life in that time .
Are we thinking that Jack the Ripper was innocent this whole time? He just had an unfortunately grim name? Do you have any prime suspects for who the real killer was?

I ‘ve just looked at the casebook, it looks really interesting,
Where do I find more about the Rippercast?
Right, @mikejamison.bsky.social ?
Interview the VICTIMS, man!
Do what the rest haven’t.
They’re all gutless (the cops, but also the victims 😬).

🎶 Whose a naughty one - Saucy Jack
Whose a haughty one - Saucy Jack 🎶
You may require a shovel.
It probably won't be that difficult.
Bram Stoker was the Ripper.
*Probably not, I hate podcasts.
But a life raft attempting plenty of thwarts and deflection as usual
