I used it as a test to check my ADHD meds are working properly. Verdict? Yes meds are doing their job, I was able to read all three (all text) and reflect on how I relate to each of the points.
I could even identify the ones that are slightly reworded repeats.
I have experimented with that a couple of times, but honestly it’s make such a huge difference for me that I’m pretty consistent about making sure I don’t miss.
lol, i blame the structure of the infographic; it takes effort to pull the eyes away from the next line and go back to the top of the other half of the list
*scrolls through the entire thing because it looks like ‘scary’*
*notices word ‘ADHD’*
— wait what did it say?
*scrolls back, reads first line*
— oh that
*scrolls away*
— wait what do they list?
*goes back*
— oh yeah that makes sense yeah
*scrolls away*
— wait, what green circle said?
*goes back*
I can’t like this, I have the ‘if it’s made of text my brain is obliged to read it’ ADHD which means I’m wedged in the middle and the bottom looks like a holiday!
It’s not reading the second half because it’s too small for your shitty eyes to read but you still don’t have glasses because you lack the executive function to find an eye doctor and make an appointment.
And then you go to use the so-called online scheduling portal, but it’s just a contact form and 3 days later someone from the office calls you at 11am on a tuesday and you don’t answer because it’s an unknown number, so they leave a vm telling you to call to schedule and the madness continues ♾️
AD(H)D is not a mental illness, it's neurodiversity and that diagram fails totally to mention the positive aspects of the AD(H)D mind, which exist and are the reason why so many leading academics are AD(H)D
Everyone’s replying to this with surprise as if we aren’t all on a Niche Social Media Site - NSMS being, of course, the traditional gathering place ground either Nazis or people with ADHD.
And last I checked, I’m not a Nazi, but I definitely didn’t read all the little words.
I feel for them. My son has this but in grade school he was prescribed small doses of Lithium and boom, next thing we knew he won an award for reading the most books. He is now the most successful of ANYONE in our family.
It -kinda- got me. I saw the big attention-grabbing thing at the bottom and wanted to look at it and then contextualize with the smaller stuff afterward.
I'd love to see this phrased "in the positive" - there is not one thing wrong with frequent daydreaming except when not driving or operating machinery, f'rinstance.
Also (f'rinstance) not mentioned in the graph is frequent bursts of creativity and inspiration...
What does it mean when you read the whole thing in the right order and deliberately ignore the lopsided overblown green circle until you've read everything else? Probably means I'm pedantic...

So I read everything, and checked all but 2.5 criteria…
And yes, the circle is not round…
That was boring
I could even identify the ones that are slightly reworded repeats.
Meds Correct = Manageable Life

Should..... should I be concerned by this specific realization?--

(fwiw, they were VERY cool magnets!)
…I actually skipped the *entire* middle figure cause it was long and was planning on going back after reading the 3rd one 😭
This is peak #oddlysatisfying
it got me??

Like ArrRrR
second circle: skip
third circle: circle not circle
Also (f'rinstance) not mentioned in the graph is frequent bursts of creativity and inspiration...
I didn’t expect that. Brw, what’s that lime green blob? I got distracted and didn’t read
(Mine was more - that’s too small to read.)
At least nowadays I know why I'm like this, I wasn't diagnosed until after I turned 30. 😐
