"If only they could see it *lists off things cars can already do but better and without exploding or catching on fire* then they would be jealous of me!!!"
The pic in the article shows her with her hands in her lap which is against the rules for self driving teslas. I’m willing to bet that she also sleeps and reads or watches movies. There is no way that she is getting stress reduction without disengaging her attention.
It is, she’s a therapist who brought an old Tesla and liked the self driving mode before Elon was commonly known as a dick and tried another car which apparently was so tiring to drive she had to buy a cyber truck
Can confirm we indeed merrily & with unadulterated #Joy flip them off erry opportunity. Especially when the dumbtrucks are stuck in NYC traffic or can’t park w/out three spaces 🙂↕️
It's glossed over in the article that she also bought it as a tax deduction thing - massive pickups and SUVs weighing over 6000lb aren't taxed like ordinary cars and trucks, because reasons
I bought a Tesla Model Y (the crossover) in 2021 because it's a great car! I immediately noticed that the behavior of other drivers, especially in gas pickup trucks, became really aggressive toward me... then that let up in 2024 which was even worse.
“To be clear, I bought the truck before he became a polarizing political figure.”
Bullshit, lady. He was a transphobic, racist, misogynistic POS for a LONG time before you even ordered that car. You just got the keys before the Hitler salute. Die mad about it. *flips the bird*
this may be true for much older model Teslas, but the truck has only been available since 2023. everyone on the planet knew musk was a fascist sympathizer and all around asshole by then.
This person bought the truck before he called someone trying to rescue kids in a flooded cave a p*dophile? Because that’s when he became a polarizing figure for me.
The timeline for Musk's nuttiness blew up when he bought Twitter.
-June '18 diver incident, calling a rescuer a pedo guy
-April-Oct '22 bought Twitter, Nov '22 laid off half of workforce, eventually dumping about 80%
After those 2 anyone who didn't know he was nuts wasn't paying attention.
his harambe timeline moment was when he called the guy coordinating the rescue of those boys trapped in that cave a pedophile for rejecting his submarine idea, it's been all sledding down a ski slope made of shit ever since
This was the big one for me. I had friends who worked there for years tell me how weird he was at work and how uncomfortable everyone felt when he would walk in, but I just figured that was CEO shit. The complete disregard for the people actually saving lives was bizarre, it just had to be about him
How is it helpful?
They're underpowered. And prone to lethal accidents. The front axel is prone to snapping for no apparent reason. And wheels snap off even though the lug nuts are still in place.
And if you have a problem, you have to settle it through binding arbitration that favors Musk.
I drive 4 hours frequently for work. We often joke, at the office, that we need a company chopper. Believe me, if we had a chopper but it had a Tesla logo on it, or the more classical swastika, I’d still drive.
"My Cybertruck isn't just a luxury or trying to look cool. Driving my Cybertruck is about functionality and safety. Arizona's two-lane highways ... can be dangerous."
Wow. (There are other hands-free cars including Ford.)
On first glance it looks like she’s mostly just a professional grifter who happens to have a psychology doctorate. Almost everything that comes up is just her self-promoting and nothing about her actually practicing psych.
On her website:
"she excels in consulting for leadership development, creating transformative trainings, offering executive coaching, and captivating audiences from stages around the world. Her expertise leaves individuals & organizations inspired, refreshed, & fully empowered to reach new heights"
It’s weird and impressive that she never identifies in the article as a nine year old because once you put it together, you’re like, aw, have any car you want you precocious little dickens. I didn’t get it til I went to her website and saw she was an “Expert Speaker” and I was like oooh it’s a KID
Like, doy, of course you shouldn’t make dirty gestures at her and of course her car has to drive itself and it makes sense that she doesn’t remember any previous model of self driving car and by the way, for a nine year old: pretty good essay!
I'm having trouble imagining anything helpful that could be unique to this vehicle, other than the ability to blend in among stainless steel dumpsters.
I read the article because I’m a glutton for stupid and lies outright that we didn’t know he was when bought it. He had made the hard right turn well before the cybertrucks shipped.
I have a friend who got one. He’s pretty non political, but would qualify as progressive if asked about issues. He’s just a techie who likes his gadgets.
Ive tried but he doesn’t seem to understand why I’d rather follow along in my own car than ride in his Elonmobile.
Every time I sew one of those ugly things I can't help but thinking it looks like a low-poly video game model - the sort of thing you'd expect to see driving around on the world map in an early PS1 JRPG.
That's an awful-lot of words to justify her car.
She can drive whatever she likes--that's her right.
And people can continue to flip off her & her car--that's their right.
As a degreed mechanic and someone that can drive almost *anything* like a pro ... NOBODY needs a Cybertruck. There are other vehicles for the price that offer a plethora of safety and assistance features. That *thing* does nothing meaningful that other vehicles can't do better.
Does the Cybertruck owner's insurance cover other people who lose control of their vehicle after they spot their first Cybertruck offline and involuntarily start laughing?
I saw my first "live" one today, and it was absolutely hideous. It reminded me of the original "Dune" movie and what they had pre-CGI for the body shields.
Ive hated Musk for years. He has made it a habit of knocking up Canadian women, supporting them til the child is born, then refusing to financially or emotionally support his children. He is a douche of the highest order and has been for years!
A lot of psychologists are the most mentally ill people I’ve meet. They think that if they can “fix” others nothing is wrong with them. Which is more sad for their patients who are already vulnerable and then they have to deal with a psychopath.
I don’t understand how the cybertruck is the only car to meet the requirements for the tax break for her job. How is it a car made available in the past year is the only one?
Hey, I didn’t buy it because I’m pro-Nazi. I bought it because my right to zone out while hurtling down the highway is, frankly, more important to me than whatever Nazis are doing to you these days. Why you mad?
Even if someone needed self driving features and even if those features were actually safe… there are plenty of other cars that have them. She even says she used to lease a different car that had them before getting the cybertruck so this just seems like massive cope.
I’m sorry, but if you aren’t safe enough to drive because you’re tired that you need your car to drive itself, thats a work/life balance issue. You shouldn’t be on the road if you’re not safe enough to do so. Especially in vehicles that haven’t been properly tested
Any EV would’ve qualified. Business and commercial use vehicles are tax deductions; she could’ve got a Ford with BlueCruise, but instead, she chose to get an eyesore, road hazard & to support a nazi.

There is no reason that hunk of safety violating junk is better than any other type of car or tuck of similar size.

Pathetic shill for Musk.

Even funnier is the thought that even Nazis are flipping her off, because the Cybertruck is just that ugly.
There are so many other better options. I don’t get it.

both are terrible but hummer drivers feel more honest in how trashy they are whereas cybertruck drivers think they’re hot shit but are just as lame

PHD Psychologist says, " I'm not financially able to sell or trade in the truck,"
that she got it for her commute between Phoenix & Tucson (virtually a perfectly straight road for only 100 mi.),
or that she thought it was the only car with full self-driving.
